Pistons have no coach, no gm and no first round pick. I will tune in when they become relevant again. I am a fairweather basketball fan, no doubt.

I wonder if Jevon Carter will sneak into the first round? Heard he was having a pretty good combine...

In prime position to take the worthless Ball brothers in the 2nd round.

God that family somehow has them by the balls. I can’t understand it.

It's a really good draft class, lots of rumors of teams outside the lottery trying to move up.

KSB's Mock Lottery Draft

5. Dallas - Trae Young

Dallas just drafted Dennis Smith, Jr. - his rookie year was phenomenal.

I don't see any way Trae Young is picked by Cubes........ it will either be Bamba or Potter, Jr.

Fock no.

Jerome is flying up the boards. He's a scorer and can shoot the 3. It's what Philly needs. If Bridges is gone don't be shocked.

There's also a ton of buzz about a trade between Memphis and Dallas.

* Memphis sends the #4 pick and Chandler Parsons to Dallas.

* Dallas sends back Harrison Barnes and a thrown in.

The Grizz owe Chandler Biitch Parsons a ton of money still, about $50m.. They desperately want to dump his sorry ass and (the word is) are willing to give up the 4th pick in order to do it... That's the hot gossip here in big D anyways. :dunno:

should be Bamba, unless someone jumps up to get him. But yea, no way they go Trae. He has bust potential to me.

Probably, but something about Cuban seeing some Steph Curry in Trae Young has me thinking he'll gamble.

There's gonna be things that happen that surprise people, always are, and this year seem ripe.

this would be a mistake for Memphis..they're not competing next year, eat Parsons contract one more year, make your pick at #4, deal next year.

Unless one has plans on moving Smith, Jr. to make a deal - I just don't see how you can have a backcourt that small. Not in today's game.

If I had an early pick I would be doing everything I could to move out of it and move down.

I think the Cs stand pat, but I could get behind some kind of move that brings in a big. What do you think Rozier, #27, & Sac pick next year could get...I don't think top 4. Rozier and #27, can that get them to #9? Then take Knox.

No way the Mavs take Trae Young when they drafted Dennis Smith Jr last year and he averaged 15 ppg.

1. Suns - DeAndre Ayton

2. Kings - Marvin Bagley III

3. Hawks - Luca Doncic

4. Memphis - Trades down with the Knicks. Knicks take Bamba

5. Dallas - JJJ

Key points:

Memphis doesn't have their pick next year (Boston I think). So supposedly their ownership has issued two edicts. 1. Make the playoffs next season. 2. Cut salary......This at least explains the thinking. Someone like Barnes does more for them this coming season than any rookie. So maybe.

Best case scenario for them, they make the playoffs, get swept in rd 1. I say start the true rebuild now. Take Bamba.

Im with ya. If I am Memphis, Im not trading the pick just to dump salary. But GMs without job security have a long history of sacrificing the long term in hopes of keeping their jobs. I dont think it happens, but as a Mavs fan, Im hoping.

Word is the Suns are looking to move up from 16 to 4. Not sure what they would package to make that happen.

Also in case there is any doubt, the Suns will absolutely take Ayton at 1.

Yeah, but most are one and done with the occasional two or three year player sprinkled in. Unless you really follow college basketball they aren't household names. And even the die hard college bball fan barely knows them.

There is a rumor of the Mavs moving up to #3 to take Doncic. Hawks maybe like Young.

Sounds like #3 and Bazemore contract for #5 and Wes Mathews contract. Both guys make about the same, but Bazemore has an extra year.
