cyclone24 1,805 Posted March 13, 2017 Whoa. Cyclone could end up winning my poll question. The first one to possibly say he's out. Yeah like I said I voted for him to fix a handful of problems. 14 million without coverage I don't consider fixing the problem. I'll see if there's a retort or rational explanation for this though. Just found it interesting.
iam90sbaby 2,121 Posted March 13, 2017 And cyclone, what is going on man? You been eating a lot of soy lately or something? First you get offended about some kids wearing red white and blue, and now this? Low T maybe?

cyclone24 1,805 Posted March 13, 2017 If I'm reading that correctly since there is not a mandate and they are not forcing people to buy insurance I guess the risk that's run or the problem that could occur is that now who pays for all those people who are going to go uninsured when they do have health problems? NewbieJr 540 Posted March 13, 2017 I have a great idea... Buy your own focking health insurance, and stop expecting others to pay your way.that's how it was. Unfortunately, the greed of big pharma and the rest of the medical industry, got it made premiums too expensive for a large percentage of citizens. That led to too many uninsured people going to ER is and getting treated for free. Which drove costs up even more for those of us with insurance. Instead of anyone in politics having the balls to take on the greedy fucks to blame, they had to approach it this way.

Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted March 13, 2017 There has to be jobs that pay a pittance to workers. It's inevitable. So why we expect them to be able to afford health care on top of everything else makes no sense. I just think basic health coverage is a right everyone should have. If a person doesn't make enough money, then how do they afford it?

MDC 5,878 Posted March 14, 2017 The median household income is around &52k. What does insurance for a family of 3-4 cost, $10k/year? How many people in the US can afford to spend 20% of their gross family income on health insirance. The biggest problem with healthcare is that almost nobody could afford it if it wasn't subsidized heavily by employers and they're deferring more and more of the cost onto workers each year. It is killing our economy.

It is killing our economy. It's more than that, I just had to look at the insurance option for our company, we're small, but a good plan for employee and family will cost about $1500 a month. You can always get cheaper but that insurance really stinks.
