Law 220 Posted September 29, 2014 I have long argued that the home Brees is the elite QB while the road Brees is average, or worse. Well, through 3.5, it doesn't matter! He's average. If that! 287 ypg with 5 TDs and 2 INTs through 3 games isn't cutting it. Not for 1 the top 3 QBs off the board. Prove me wrong little man!!
Cuse9 128 Posted September 29, 2014 Seems like it's decision making. Watch when he takes the snap, he looks one way and locks in. There's no scanning the field to see what is open, it seems as though it would be easy to defend if he is going to lock in on one side of the field.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 29, 2014 Dissapointing for sure. End of the year numbers will look fine tho and we will all forget the games he lost us. I also blame the terrible D for putting the offense in bad situations.
tigeru 65 Posted September 29, 2014 Brees drafted 7th round and 10th round as 2nd qb in my leagues. None of the 19 guys(count me in both for 20 total) thought of him as top 3. Manning Rodgers Luck before I drop down to tier 2.
Matt Mueller 146 Posted September 29, 2014 Brees isn't done but in a general sense this is kind of the exact moment in time that guys like Wilson, Luck ect might be officially passing the Brady and Brees' of the game.

Serpent 51 Posted September 29, 2014 Brees isn't done but in a general sense this is kind of the exact moment in time that guys like Wilson, Luck ect might be officially passing the Brady and Brees' of the game. Brady is for sure out of the top 3. The only way Luck isn't in the top 3 is if you put Brees in it. Brees' body of work is still good enough that he gets the benefit of the doubt 4 weeks into the season. I don't think he has been that awful.

tigeru 65 Posted September 29, 2014 You figured out a way for me to copy draft results to here I'll show you. Brees the Saints qb right? Hell I got Luck 50th and 55th overall.

Vikings4ever 496 Posted September 29, 2014 I swear to god, I haven't taken a QB early in I don't know how long. I finally take Brees, and :kicktothenuts:

Law 220 Posted September 29, 2014 It's happening.... Manning Brady Brees God's defense (age), can't be beat. Well, Peyton isn't doing too poorly. It's seem Brady and Brees always made the weapons around them. Not sure that can be said anymore. Brees has Graham and Cooks and a bunch of guys. Brady has a slowed Gronk and naturally slow Edelman and that's about it.

Law 220 Posted September 29, 2014 Colston seems to drop more balls than he catches these days Yeah. I've long been a fan, but he's fading. I tried to get SSS, but too low on the waivers. It's looking like I'll switch to Decker. How sad is that?

Drizzay 644 Posted September 29, 2014 A shitty team defense seems to be the recipe for a big stat QB. (see, Rodgers, A, Cutler, J, Ryan, M, Brees, D)

thePRO 78 Posted September 29, 2014 I swear to god, I haven't taken a QB early in I don't know how long. I finally take Brees, and :kicktothenuts: Hahaha me either!!! I always target a QB in the 5th round or later. This year I was looking at Matt Ryan. I had the 20th overall pick in the 2nd round and saw Brees staring me down. I couldn't pass him up. Even though he's still done 17, 19, 23, 23. It hasn't been horrible. He's missing Sproles, but I think Cadet is starting to help a bit with that hole. He's opened up 3 of 4 on the road. I think he's going to be fine.
yanko 11 Posted September 29, 2014 Ok so if you just use his road performances this year he's on pace for 27 TDs and 4,800 yards. Last year that puts him in the top 3-4 in the league.
munygon2 2 Posted September 29, 2014 If the Cadet doesn't fumble, he was hitting escalators and one more TD. I'd still take his production last night most weeks, but a a couple of 400/4 weeks would be nice. Getting Ingram back in the lineup actually may hurt some because he will hand the ball off more, maybe.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted September 29, 2014 Only slightly above average on the road for his career. He'll suddenly turn into a gem when they get back to NO.
rallo 132 Posted September 29, 2014 A shitty team defense seems to be the recipe for a big stat QB. (see, Rodgers, A, Cutler, J, Ryan, M, Brees, D) Brees will be fine because of this, maybe erratic at times, but he will rack up yards/TDs in the 2nd half... You gotta love a ryan D... I remember when the cowboys fired him after a terrible season and he popped off "i'll be out of a job for all of 10 minutes"... luckily the Saints had need for a bad D coordinator... at least his hair looks nice
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 29, 2014 Yea theres no reason to panic, its just that his road troubles are coming under the microscope by more posters and analysts. even in his bad game last night it was his best yet! When he stops being able to carve up prevent defenses, thats when you worry. The dude shredded the boys in the 4th qtr and without cadets lame fumble he prob wouldv had a shot at 400 and another td. Remember the saints got the ball all of 1 time in the first qtr and the cowboys now play ball control with a running game limiting their opponent as much as they can. JT 137 Posted September 29, 2014 Fantasy wise, Brees will be fine for a few years to come. But the team is flat out bad defensively and your ground game is in trouble when you have a dropoff after Mark Ingram. He's a great bet at home, an average to above average matchup when on the road. BunnysBastatrds 1,911 Posted September 29, 2014 I think it has more to do with Payton. His commitment to the run isn't working well. The play calling doesn't have the rhythm it's had in the past. I predict we'll start getting back to our old ways with 70/30 pass to run ratio until it can be fixed. That'll put the game back in Bree's hands. RELAX.

I ws noting last night that everyone and their mother could predict the playcalling. hmm let me guess, on 1st down they will pound the rock up the middle, then on 2nd thru 3rd Brees will chuck it downfield. I was calling the plays like clockwork in the first half when it was still the normal gameplan. Play to your strengths, otherwise its easy for defenses to tee off.
