Ok, let's set some guidelines.

A "breakout" player, can be any player in the league, that has never had a big game before. Sorry, Donald Brown doesn't count. Bryce Brown doesn't count. Blount doesn't count. Has to be a player that has never had a big game. A real "breakout" performance.

Hard thing to predict. I got to 3-1 on my own, but this week, and going forward, I could use y'alls help. Who you got?

Denard Robinson

Ok ... Yeah, so Gerhardt sucks, Robinson only averaged 2.8 today, but he had 3 targets in the passing game, and caught all 3.

Possible ... Good start. Glad other people want to contribute. Please tell us more.

Did you watch that game? He looked horrible in relief.

3 feet and a cloud of dust.

oh I know he did, but what else is there, he did have 3 catches in PPR also. Maybe a Donald Brown type guy, based on sheer volume potential or so we think

your definition ...., but its gonna he hard

Hurns, week 1. Out of nowhere. Taliaferro week 3 ... People thought I was cray cray.

If it was easy ... i wouldn't be asking for help, now would I?

Dude, you can do better than Carolinas 6th string scrub RB.

I know you nailed Hurns and Taliaferro, I actually started him due to your tout, but alot of people were on Hurns, he wasnt completely out of nowhere after his preseason

I'm still scouring the wires though will see what I find

what is considered a break out?

Like I said .... Bryce Brown has already had a breakout game. Lagarette Blount ... Already broken out.

First time. There might not even be a guy every week ... it is hard, I agree.

I'm confused by the definition as well. Why would it matter if someone like Bryce Brown had a good game last year? I would lean more towards Raiders definition, less then 10-20% owned! and now they are someone that could be a starter for you.

If all of a sudden Bryce brown had 15 carries and was productive I would think he fits breakout to a T.

- for the TE depleted folks out there ...

Jax TE Jars of Clay Harbor :music_guitarred:

hung up a very respectable 8/69 yesterday

the wrs are still banged up, there's zilch-o running game .... so, i nominate 99 BoB's safety valve

Week 4 was a classic example of the unveiling of the Bridgewater/Wright/McKinnon offense. But you don't get that every week.

Something has to change somewhere for there to be a 'breakout.'

If I had to guess I might say Cleveland with Crowell having a big game even with Tate back. And TEN is a great matchup.

ASJ could show up vs the Saints.

I'll toss some in:

ASJ--saw some action (and every snap) in week 4

Antone Smith--has technically "broken out" already

Philly Brown--Cam might have to spread it around some more

and

Odell Beckham--why not

And I agree with some of the ones mentioned above...

Jace Amaro

Denard Robinson

Lastly...Michael Vick

Does Bishop Sankey's 54 yard + TD performance from Week 4 count as a "big game"? I'd say no.

If not, he's got a great opportunity to break out against Cleveland's awful run defense in Week 5 if Whisenhunt will pull his head out of his ass and give Sankey the starting gig over Shonn Greene. I could see 100 total yards and a TD.

Possible but only if he gets his "footwork" right.

I got one: Stedman Bailey

Last week against the Cowboys, he just got reinstated so only had a few days to get re-acclimated with the Rams offense. After this week's bye I believe he will be a bigger part of the offense. Word from training camp was he and Quick were the best receivers on the team. I think by end of season, he will replace Britt in the starting lineup. For now I think he plays in the slot while Tavon Austin recovers.

I'm looking at 2 TEs

ASJ in TB - Should be inline for a lot of targets with Evans out and having to play catchup with NO

Luke Willson - Dude is super talented and with Miller out should get extended looks vs. Washington

If you're in a dynasty league, snatch up Willson while you still can just in case he goes off. ASJ should be owned in every league already.

Fits the bill!

About fuckin' time he breaks out...but...

It's not happening this week against that Arizona defense though.

I'm going with ASJ and Sankey. Both should see increased opportunity this week - ASJ because he's finally healthy and Evans is not and Sankey because Whisenhunt needs to keep his job.

Does Bishop Sankey qualify? Might get more snaps than Greene if the Titans want to actually win a game and they play a weak CLE run defense. He got a TD last game though, so don't know if he qualifies.

Hard to say. He only got 6 carries but he did a lot with them.

He's right on the edge, but I'll say he qualifies.
