One person making the allegation so far.

Better be a lockdown unimpeachable case.

Otherwise, that's some scary s*** when one pissed off woman can say any f****** thing against you and you lose your job of 20 years or whatever.

For them to take action like this against someone so famous, you know it's a lock he did it and there's more than one.

Pretty much

The sad thing is in All of these cases it was swept under the rug for a long time.

With Lauer, it has to be with another man. Or little boy. Right?

I feel bad for him. Now he has to golfing every day for the rest of his days.

Plus he is free to harass all he wants.

These allegations have been known for a long time.

“Today” show co-host Matt Lauer was fired Wednesday due to inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace, an incident "Today" honchos said they learned about just two days ago.

The statement said this is the first complaint regarding Lauer's behavior the company has received "in the over 20 years he's been at NBC News."

If these guys are falsely accused... and it can be proved...fry the accuser.

If these guys (Hollywood) are guilty...and it can be proved....fry them.

Purely sick of it.

Were all of these Hollywood and "power-laden" folks thinking they were above the the law or untouchable? Or maybe its society just "out to get them". I'm sure its some of each.

Also sick of the way crap is going. It's going to trickle down to you and I later.

In 10 years, smiling at a woman will probably be considered sexually harassment. That's the direction sh`t is going.

20% -- Full blown real, cut and dry

20% -- Full blown lies

60% -- Borderline sh1t. "He touched my butt" (may have brushed it by accident), "He gave me lots of drinks then we had sex" (and later I regretted it, so I called it rape) etc etc etc

If it was just 1 woman making a claim without much more than that, I have faith NBC lets it play out a bit further. But if you read below, it sounds like the network knew the score and knew what was coming. So good riddance.

So his sudden ouster came as a shock to viewers -- but not as a complete surprise to his "Today" show colleagues. They knew that multiple news outlets were investigating Lauer's off-camera conduct.

NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said in an early morning memo to staff that the complaint was filed on Monday night. Lack said it was the first complaint lodged against Lauer in his career at the network. But he also said "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

Indeed, Lack and other NBC News executives have known for weeks that damaging stories could be coming out soon.

Reporters for The New York Times have been investigating Lauer for weeks, according to sources who had been contacted by the Times.

And Variety's New York bureau chief Ramin Setoodeh said on Twitter that he and his colleague Elizabeth Wagmeister have been doing reporting "about serious sexual harassment allegations against Lauer" for two months.

"NBC was aware" of the reporting, Wagmeister tweeted. "There are multiple women we've spoken to with far-ranging accusations against Lauer. The power of journalism has never been more evident with this cultural change."

The one thing I used to always lament about my profession (engineering) is that there were hardly any women in the field and I worked in an office that was 90% male (It has changed in the last 5 or 10 years but I am old enough to be the father of the hotties working in my office now). So, when I went out with friends from work for a night of drunkedness, it was a bunch of guys chasing after women from other companies. If I worked in an environment with hot women for 30 years, I am sure there would be some function with drinking involved where I would have said something inappropriate. Who knows, i might have misread a vibe and squeezed a woman's A$$. Its not like I would have raped a woman or felt her up down below. But it seems like it doesn't take much to destroy a reputation in today's environment. I think work friends social gatherings are going to become extinct. Its just too dangerous.

You never know with that cut throat industry. They may have thought Lauer's time was up and didn't want to suffer backlash from firing him. He11, they could have planted a fake leak to the NY Times that they were worried about some allegations that might surface concerning Lauer just to get the Times digging into his past.

https://pagesix.com/2017/11/29/matt-lauer-allegedly-sexually-assaulted-female-staffer-during-olympics/

Matt Lauer allegedly sexually assaulted a female NBC staffer during the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014, sources told Page Six.

An NBC insider said Lauer’s alleged victim complained to HR on Monday: “This happened so quickly. She didn’t go to the media, she made a complaint to NBC’s human resources, and her evidence was so compelling that Matt was fired on Tuesday night. The victim says she has evidence that this has also happened to other women, but so far we don’t have evidence of that.”

Yeah........this wasn't standard grab a$$ apparently.

The story is now that these guys are predators.

Now maybe thats true in some cases. I dont know. Im sure thats true.

But you and I both know these guys are tripping over hot poon all damn day. Little interns and extras who are all about landing some rich famous d!ck.

Im betting some of these instances were quite willing at the time, but as they say, hell hath no fury like a womans scorn.

Well if it is true, I'm just dumbfounded that a guy who can easily bang hot women anyways would risk everything by sexually assaulting someone.

I guess its more about power and thinking you are invincible.

I seriously hope somebody has balls enough to take folks to court. At this point he'll even that freak show more. This is b*******. Where somebody anonymously can make a vague complaint and somebody loses their f****** profession the next day?

How many trials have even been scheduled at this point? How many official police charges have been filed at this point?

Now compare that to the list of teachers and coaches wives who are admitted child rapist in the same time period. But do we hear about that s*** on the news?

Thing is, even if you catch a b**** in a lie? What happens? Oh, she's obviously a very troubled young lady. Same f****** excuse they give for the teachers who are child rapist by the way.

Anyone worried about this trend ruining movies and TV? It almost seems like creativity is synonymous with dysfunction, so what will things be like when we have a bunch of Hank Hills and Ned Flanderses writing and producing? :dunno:

Wiffle.....are you worried that someone is going to make a claim about something you did to them? You seem more personally invested in people thinking all these women are in the wrong than anyone else here is invested in seeing rapists have to change jobs.

Hardly. But I'm a huge fan of logic. And I f****** hate double standards.

Wasn't that long ago that somebody anonymously could make a claim about their boss or their neighbor or a romantic rival and that person lost their job their home their livelihood their reputation. Seems we've learned absolutely nothing from that period.

For the truly odious m************ like Roy Moore or Weinstein? Man prosecute them to the letter of the law and thrown under the jail and cut off their dicks for all I care.

But sexual assault shouldn't be subjective or trendy. Too many women have been legitimately violently penetrated against their will. For some over-privileged b**** to say she knows exactly where it's at it's like because somebody touch their hiney 30 years ago? Cheapens the claims of the real victims out there and undermines the American rule of law.

You are seemingly arguing for 2 categories. 1. Rape" and 2. Anything Less than Rape....... with your opinion being that women should shut up anything in category 2.

Anyone that has ever had a mother, wife, girlfriend, or daughter should be offended by such an attitude.

To my knowledge, Roy Moore has not at all been charged or even alleged to have raped anybody. At worst, getting the second based with teenagers, which is disgusting enough. And you'll know I used him specifically as an example.

But hey, if it's easier to keep up by creating straw men in that you can more easily grasp? Feel free.

But speaking of women whom we love and respect. Most of the competent intelligent women that I talk to you about this subject? When they see women who after 20 or 30 years, grown women who are sometimes grandmother's by this time and suddenly now they're whimpering and shaking and crying because somebody touched their butt decades ago when it was fully clothed and it lasted all of a few seconds? They have one response: "puhlease'. Usually accompanied by an eye roll.

But yeah guilty as charged in believing that there's a difference between some perv applying a four-finger shocker after digging his hand into a woman's leotard versus Grandpa George Gently patting a fully clothed buttock for 3 seconds. Call me crazy.
