How does 2 QB required change value in auction league?

Recommended Posts

Two things:

1.) I am on a Rotowire Custom Scoring site. I am not subscribing, so I can't see the complete list...but I can see like the first 10 players at each position.
I am in a 10 team auction league, that requires 2 QB's.

When I toggle the 'custom scoring' part between 1 and 2 QBs...the values change drastically.

When it is set for 2 QBs...the top QBs are like $31, then $29, $28, etc.
When it is set for 1 QB, the top QBs are like $8, then $7, $6..

Does that sound right?

2.) Anyone know of a good place to get auction values for a 2-QB league?

Thanks

It does sound right. They are extremely valuable. If you end up with 2 top 5 qbs you can probably punch your ticket to the playoffs. Or trade one for some serious need

2 QB required leagues will vault QB to the top of the list with high end RB's. You will be picking from the Flacco's of the world by the mid/late rounds.

I'm in a ppr 2 QB auction league. Aaron Rodgers goes for like 42 in a 200 auction. Brees for 33, then it drops off a bit. R Wilson went for 20 last year. Every league is different.

You are on the right track.

but that number depends on a lot of factors:

1) what is your budget? $100? $200? somewhere in between?

in general, I've been in two leagues that have switched from one QB to 2 and when that switch takes place most teams undervalue the QB position in the first year, but if you need to start 2, generally you are looking at double to triple the price you pay for a top QB in a 1 QB league. And that is because two top QB's can really make up a lot of points overall relative to the other players you will roster.

and the relative shortage of QB that inevitably comes when you have two QB starters (and presumably at least one solid backup) will make the position more valueable relative to other positions.

I cant answer in much more detail as I dont have all the info I need, but this is a pretty good guideline.
