Interesting betting trend?

Recommended Posts

For you NFL gamblers thought you might enjoy this.

In the last four years or so I've been following what I'll call a betting trend as it's been hitting better than 50% so I'll share and see what you think.

Also I use scoresandodds.com for the points.

When a division game takes place check the over/under(do not bet) and then write down what the final was,the second time the teams play bet the opposite i.e. first was over so take the under etc.

So far this season there's been 8 division games where both teams have played twice SF/STL,GB/Chicago,TB/Atlanta, Miami/Buffalo,SD/Oak,Clev/Pitt,Pitt/Balt and Cinn/Balt.

Of those played it's sitting at 6-2 on the 2nd game coming in the opposite of the first game with the most recent being SD/Oak yesterday @ 13-6 when the first game was 31-28.

I've put a few dollars on this but am tracking it very close this season and if the trend holds true there could be 4 more unders this next weekend NYJ/Buffalo,Jags/Indy,GB/Minn and Dallas/NYG

Of course this isn't guaranteed but with so many of us into FF and gambling etc. thought it was time to put it out there and see if anyone had any thoughts.

Unless the under on the GB/MN game is 70, I wouldn't take it. And I'm assuming MN does not score. :wall:

interesting, thanks for sharing.

Wonder what to take from this? If they were all in one direction (first game over, second under or vice versa) it might be easier to take something from this. But as a degen, i'll take any info I can get.

Who do you like tonight? Thinking steelers Even and o 38.5 in a two-team, seven-point teaser

Right now 48.5 and with the last two weeks at GB scoring 50+ on their own I see your thinking but then again so does Vegas

I really have no thoughts on tonight except I do not like the game and thus will watch for fantasy purposes only.

As for the "trend" I only wish I had kept the past few seasons to look back on as maybe there's something there I'm missing.I hate betting unders too and that Jets/Bills game is sitting at 40.

So you're suggesting the outcome of the first game influences the line for the second, maybe excessively so? Makes sense, though it must be terrifying to bet on the NFL this year.

Yep I took both of those but am staying away from tonight's game after all as SNF this season is 10 overs and one under, the only under though was an NFC East match-up.

Saints/Panthers yesterday was 49.5 and the theory said over, the final was 41-10 and now sits at 10-5

Next week it really gets rolling with 11 divisional games, let the fun begin.

Week 17 went 11-5

Season total was 30-17-1

So at $100 per plus vig on losers your total winnings were $960

I actually fumbled the ball on that one and stopped but decided to track again this year,I actually remembered this thread when making notations in my book this morning.

It's amazing how some of our best techniques get lost in the shuffle. Happens to me in sales once in a while and I'm like, WTF.

As did I. I wasn't going to put much on, but would have been a nice little payout.
