wiffleball 4,631 Posted December 12, 2017 How can the league fine and discipline players like Marshawn Lynch for not doing their press availability but then a jackass like Belichick shows up at the podium and pulls basically the same crap? I mean, I'm much more expect a f****** head coach to stand there and face the media. That's his f****** job. Especially when they lose. I expect that a hell of a lot more than I do some Mushmouth half-wit like Marshawn Lynch to suddenly become a spokesman for the league. Especially with the league struggling, I wish they would start seriously finding guys like Belichick for this kind of behavior. One could argue There is almost an inherent racism there. Where the media tears apart a player for being a jackass at a press conference but if Bill does it? It's just bill being bill.
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted December 12, 2017 Who would translate if Lynch did avail himself to the press?
nobody 2,031 Posted December 12, 2017 Belichick's all about that action, boss.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted December 12, 2017 I wish theyd just stop all the waste of time pressers. Other than a couple of amusing meltdowns (Romeo crenelle, mora, etc.) they are completely uninteresting. Just players and coaches giving the same pat canned bullsh!t answers time after time after time.
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted December 12, 2017 Belichick shows up and answers the questions the way he wants. We all know that those pressers are useless. If you want to get something out of Bill, you do it offseason.
TommyGavin 788 Posted December 12, 2017 Please stop saying pressers. Please.

Gladiators 1,903 Posted December 12, 2017 But then the reporters and camerapersons wouldn't have 15 minutes of work to do.

wiffleball 4,631 Posted December 12, 2017 He mentioned Belichick and knows BB is a YOOGE Trump fan. it's subconscious. Never heard him say a word politically. Pretty f****** sad when one guy won't say a word when he's supposed to and the other guy won't shut the f*cK up when he should. Way to make it political. The real point is, with the league struggling like it is, a lot of these guys players and coaches, best remember what it was like when the league was struggling for viewers. You granted interviews to anybody and everybody and you gave them as much time as they needed and wanted. The real problem? Is when people stop coming to you for interviews at all. Most folks don't get to see or hear him in his local weekly shows. He is insightful in breaking down plays and talking strategy. He is a student of the game and knows all of the history of it. You can sometimes glean things from reading between the lines of his comments and it is not boring. The problem is that most of the sportswriters are morons expecting a soundbite and he just isn't going to give it to him. His postgame stuff is not even worth listening to as it is him smacking his lips and saying the same stuff over and over. He would rather have a root canal than be there.
