10 of 14 in. With no changes to teams this is what we'd have so far.

Zero Tolerance - Indians

cmh6476 - Royals

WhiteWonder - Rays

gratefulted - Dodgers

Mookz - Orioles

bbascom - Red Sox

Jim Mora - Rangers

Shotsup - Mets

29 Guests - Astros

GuardBum - Blue Jays

Looking for returnees.

lambert58 - Cardinals

Mungwater Just a Baby Bear- Cubs

Burt - Braves

Blackclouds - Angels

So we got the Cubs replacement on last year but he never got a FFT account that I recall. WW, is he back again or do we need that one team slot to fill? At least. Posty, are you reading and coming back?

LOL, I was thinking about this today...

If you guys are in a bind and need one more to make it even, I would rejoin and take the Nationals again... But only as a last resort... I enjoyed not needing to worry about this every day...

He said he can log in but hasn't been able to post. Which sounds correct for a new member that just hasn't been granted full access yet. I'll e-mail mike

Is draft pick trading allowed? Like full draft slots?

I don't believe we have allowed draft pick trades before (the odd format of our league making manipulation of draft slots a bit more significant than a standard league, i.e. two teams could swap spots in a way that neither is hurt but a third party gets screwed).

Only the supplemental picks. Just like Zero said, the "homer" picks are just too difficult and impact 3rd party teams or keep them from picking ahead of schedule.

booo. thats totally what i was going for

but actually I just thought it was hilarious that I finally bust out an amazing roll and my entire draft list is a past it's prime pile of garbage. usually you bust out a roll like that and think "oh damn, I just got my #1 target and stole him from a few teams", rather than "oh great, I'm using the 1st overall pick on a 2nd round talent and ill be focked in the supplemental on top of it!"

Last year we started the draft on Feb 27 and finished March 5th. We held off for the supplemental until the weekend prior to the season start.

That said, we should probably pick a date soon to start this thing up. Season starts early this year on March 29th (a Thursday).

Could we start maybe on the 5th? Give ourselves a solid 2 weeks to complete which should be more than enough and then the supplemental that last weekend (24/26) before the season starts. All club cuts should happen thereabouts. Rosters finalized.

Any date works for me. I suppose I'd rather start the draft sooner than later, even though we finished with plenty of time last year.

With the season starting the 29th I would think we'd want to start the supplemental by the 19th (the monday of the first full week before) because if we wait until Monday the 26th, we'd be cutting it real close (and I personally will be away).

If we start next Monday March 5th like you said, we have 2 weeks to do the regular draft. Seems good to me.

We dont have to start the supplemental on a monday, but Mondays seem to make the best and easiest start days

I'm good with the 5th. We finished the draft earlier than ever last season, but with pretty much the same squad back, I think we should be able to do so again. My biggest concern is the outstanding number of free agents still out there, and how it might affect a number of teams. I don't ever recall this many useful players still unsigned. It's one thing to take a flyer on a FA who could make a fourth outfielder, but look at this list of free agent pitchers:

Jake Arrieta (ADP - mid 80s): I'd highly consider him as my first or second round pick if he signed with TEX. Currently eligible to two teams.

Lance Lynn (ADP top 200): Currently exclusive to STL, but could be eligible to someone else. Might be a 21st rounder for lambert, might be a fourth rounder for someone else depending on how the cards fall (pun intended).

Alex Cobb (ADP early 200s): Similar to Lynn, but exclusive to Tampa Bay.

John Lackey: BWHAHAHAHAHA....but seriously, I'd consider him if he were eligible to me.

Tyler Clippard: I realize I'm usually about three seasons behind with my "I remember that guy was awesome" fantasy baseball knowledge, but he's not that far removed from posting some amazing stats. Looking at my draftable list of relievers, he'd clearly be on there. Hell, I'm still considering Koji Uehara draftworthy and he's in the same position.

Bats are just as bad. Mike Moustakas, Jonathan Lucroy, Jose Bautista, Carlos Gonzalez, Melky Cabrera, Brandon Philips, Mike Napoli...there's a lot of names that I hope will get clarified prior to an official start.

I agree...it certainly has been an odd off season. I'm down with the 5 March start as well though. We will see how it goes.
