  1. So, in one of my leagues, the commish has told teams that on draft night, each team will draw a draft spot and then pick when they want to draft. So, if I get the #1 pick, I can keep it or choose to draft 6th (hypothetically). Once the spot is gone, it's off the table for anyone. When do you think it is best to draft considering this year's players? This is a re-draft league and scoring is 6 points for passing, receiving, rushing TDs, 1 point for each 20 yards passing and 1 point for each 10 yards rec or rushing. Fumbles or INTs are -2 points. The draft is in a serpentine format. Rosters are as follows: Quarterback-1 Running Back-1 Wide Receiver-1 Wide Receiver / Running Back-1 Wide Receiver / Tight End-2 Kicker-1 Defensive Team-1
  2. I play in a 12-team league with a very unique scoring format as follows: ReTD - Receiving TD 60 points ReYd - Receiving Yards 1+ ReYd = 2 points for every 1 ReYd Recpt - Reception 2 points Ru2P - Rushing Two-point Conversion 20 points RuTD - Rushing TD 60 points RuYd - Rushing Yards 1+ RuYd = 2 points for every 1 RuYd Each team has to keep one and has the option to keep 2 other players before everyone starts drafting in what's technically the 4th round (serpentine draft). I have the 2nd pick. My keeper possibilities are Fitz, Hillis, VJax, De'Angelo Williams and LeGarrette Blount. With 12-teams, all stud RB will be kept and according to my analysis, the only RB that would be available when all teams start drafting are the Felix Jones/Fred Jackson/Jahvid Best tier. I tried to trade for SJax and ADP but could not pull it off. So, I think I have to keep Fitz and Hillis. I am on the fence about Blount as I am not sure if he would be there to pick back up if I threw him back into the pool of players. I think I have to keep 2 RB because the dropoff is so great between a RB drafted in round 3 as compared to rounds 4 or 5. Is Blount a decent keeper in this scoring format as he is a lead back who won't be sharing many carries? Or is he over-valued as a 3rd round pick? Help!

    Trade Advice Needed

Team 2 wins in a landslide! Schaub and Rivers are in the same tier and I wouldn't even consider Greene a top-20 back.

    pick 9 in a 10 team

Looks solid! If you start 2 RB, you may want to consider trading Jacobs to the Bradshaw owner for a solid WR 2. Moreno's stock has gone up with DWill staying in Carolina and Fox likes to run the ball. Look for teams that have WR as their strength.

    Draft Pick Calculator

I can keep up to 3 players and I thought I would keep Fitzgerald and then two of the following 3 RB (Hillis, Blount or De'Angelo Williams). I started looking at the rosters of the other teams in my 12-man league. The Steven Jackson owner is willing to let Steven Jackson go. So, I offered VJax and a my pick in one round for SJax and his pick in the next round (serpentine format). He countered and included a draft pick calculator and offered calculations to support his counter-offer which offers his pick 2 rounds after my pick instead. I can send more info but this explanation is already too wordy! So, my questions to you fine fantasy fanatics: 1. Is keeping Steven Jackson better than keeping Hillis, Williams or Blount? From what I am reading I tend to like Blount as a keeper because of his potential to be a feature back and not share much. 2. Are draft pick calculators to justify a trade a load of crap? Thanks!

    TO or Lance Moore

    Need production...thoughts?

Better TE rest of way (to backup Gates)

I would think Fasano with Marshall out for a while and Thigpen possibly continuing to throw the ball and needing an outlet. Look at TE Martin from NO as a possibility as well.

    I trade Brees.....

Actually, my WRs are good: Randy Moss, Marshall, Maclin, Gaffney and VJax in the wings. My RBs have been my problem: De'Angelo Williams, Addai, Peyton Hillis, Portis, Donald Brown. I cannot get anyone to trade me a RB for Brees.

    I trade Brees.....

I have Brees in a keeper league and have to put him back in the player pool after this season as I've kept him for a few years. I have Roethlisberger and Stafford as my other QBs so I want to get something for Brees via trade before our league's trade deadline. The only bite I've had is me trading Brees and getting LFitz. Scoring for my league is: For QB, 1 point for each pass yard and 40 points for TD passes. -20 for INTs and -45 for fumbles. For WR, 2 points for each rec yard and 60 points per TD catch. Would you accept this trade?
  10. In my league, WR get 2 points for each receiving yard and 60 points per TD. Kickoff or punt return yards count the same. Who would you start, Welker or Mike Williams v. ARI?

I trade Brees for Steven Jackson

I have De'Angelo Williams, Hillis, Addai, Donald Brown and Portis...so Jackson would really help.
  12. I have Brees and Roethlisberger. I have to trade Brees by the season's end as I can't keep him after this year. Should I offer Brees for Jackson? This would help my RBs but leave no depth at QB. I could also offer Brees for Jackson and Kolb. The risk here is that Kolb doesn't play once Vick is healthy. Thoughts?

    What WR do I start?

I would take Amendola and Williams. I think the NO game could be a blow out. Brees is due for a big game and the TB secondary is suspect. I feel TB is going to need to air it out. With the lack of WRs in STL after Clayton's injury, I believe the game plan will be on stacking the box against Jackson. So, Bradford is good enough to take what's there in the passing game.

    Tough Choices

Your inclination is right IMO. Houston's secondary has given up many passing TDs and although I am not impressed with Bowe, it makes sense to start him. Britt is becoming the WR of choice in TENN and JAX gives up a lot of pass TDs. Thomas is decent but Garrard is either spot on or way off. I just don't get the sense that the JAX/TENN game will be a blowout so I am not thinking that Garrard will have to put the ball in the air too much.

    Forte or MJD

Who would you start? Scoring is 6 points for a TD, 1 point per 10 rush yards and/or 10 rec yards, 0.5 points per reception.
