Lebron is a physical freak, and that puts him number 2 imo. The things Jordan did though. His highlight reel is just like nothing else anyone did in basketball. When it was tougher to get toward the basket, he drove through the lane despite being one of the smaller guys once he got to the basket. He didnt cry and whine like a baby every time he got touched. Lebron wouldnt have been nearly as effective had he played with the same contact rules

Plus Jordan had to play college ball for 4 years. He also had his dad murdered in his prime.

He played for three. Just a point of fact.

he also walked away from basketball in a fake attempt at a baseball career to cover up his gambling issues

Everyone says it was harder with the rules back then, but Jordan was playing closer to today's rules than everyone else was back then since you can uldnt touch him.

This. Amazing. He was bored and loved the tables. And golf. He never bet on NBA games. His legacy meant a lot more than any dollar value you could place on him. He played within the rules.

I don't think Jordan and his competitiveness would have walked away from the game, which he knew he could be the greatest if there wasn't another factor

he probably didnt bet on NBA though

He was the greatest. He didn't bet on NBA games. Was he mixed up with some shady motherfawkers? Definetly. His wife hid in that house for years till he told her when the divorce would happen. Have you ever heard a peep out of her? TMZ asking questions or bloggers with her?

Jordan was a social POS through and through. How he's kept it hidden for all these years is amazing. The third biggest divorce settlement in US history, at the time.

Swank magazine supplied him with girls at every stop along his way. And none of them said anything. He and Tiger were best friends when they were the two most recognizable athletes on the planet.

Rumor has it, Tiger tried to imitate Jordan. And he failed because of social media. Jordan never dealt with that, Failure on so many levels.

Who really cares?

All the more impressive to come back and rattle off 3 more in a row just to hang it up again.

Was just reading the other day about Rupert Murdoch's divorces. 1st one cost him 1.7bil and the 2nd one cost him 1.8bil.

WTF, having his own dad murdered is fair game to say but taking time off for his gambling issue is hard to believe?!

His dad was murdered. The gambling stuff was pure speculation. Yes, I have a hard time believing he took time off because of gambling, especially if the evidence was so inconclusive. I think we would have seen more concrete evidence about his gambling issues in relation to basketball had it been true
