Much of the Jesus story was outright plagiarized from the story of Mithras, an ancient Persian hero/diety. Right down to details like being born under a unique star witnessed by Shepards, to being killed by being nailed to wood.

 

And December 25 was his birthday too. Weird. Mithraic worshipers also partook of a symbolic meal in remembersnce of him. He had a last supper with his twelve deciples, was crucified and placed in a rock tomb, and around the spring solstice, aka Easter, was risen.

Basically, next to nothing in the Bible is original, most of it was borrowed from other popular cults of the age. The only reason Christianity won out is that Constantine the great made it the official religion of Rome, thus wedding one cult to power.

You're really attempting to compare Scientology to Christianity? . You know, most, no almost all Christians don't believe Jonah lived in a whale and all the other nonsense in the Bible. Because I am taking to Christians, not Muslims. Their story is the same as the Christian one. The Jewish holy book is act one. The Christian one is act two. The Muslim one tacks on act three, and the Mormons three in act four.
