kutulu 1,545 Posted August 1, 2014 That looks like a lineup quite capable of finishing runner up in this league. Maybe even three times in a row.
cbfalcon 824 Posted August 1, 2014 My initial lineup currently looks like this. I don't know if it's a good team or not, so I'll include the player's FFToday position ranking just so we can determine if I have a a chance to compete this year. Aaron Rodgers QB3 Jamaal Charles RB1 DeMarco Murray RB6 Andre Ellington RB17 Calvin Johnson WR2 (seriously FFToday?) AJ Green WR5 Brandon Marshall WR7 Heath Miller WR13 Adam Vinatieri K5 Seahawks Defense D1 Pretty weak really. Only 8 of my 10 starters ranking in the top 7 at their positions....And if we look at position groups, all it would take is three top 8 RBs to beat my RB group. And all it would take is three top 4 WRs to top my WR group. Maybe I can make a trade or something and strengthen my lineup a little
Bigtraine 24 Posted August 1, 2014 Matt Stafford (FFToday Rank 9 - I think he will exceed that and be top 5) Eddie Lacy (FFtoday Rank 10 - also think he will do better than this ranking) Le'Veon Bell (Rank 7 - I will be happy if he actually ends up top 7) Knowshon Moreno (Rank 38 - Ouch. Should have stayed with the Broncos!) Demaryius Thomas - (Rank 1 - Suck it, Calvin!) Cecil Shorts (Rank 35 - Ugh) Eric Decker (Rank 38 - See Knowshon Moreno) Zach Ertz (Rank 15) D - Who cares? K - Who cares? My team keeps getting better each year. Just a couple of years ago I was near the bottom of the league in talent. Took 3rd place last year, but I am really going to feel the effect of Decker and Moreno leaving Denver this year. I have some really nice pieces (Bell/Lacy/DT/Stafford), and then a big drop off to the next tier of player for me. I am not a realistic title contender this year without a lot of luck, but my team is young and should continue to get better. IF Watkins ends up being as good as I think he could be, and Matthews works out in PHI, the WR core could look a lot better next year.

mmmmm...beer 691 Posted August 3, 2014 Matt Ryan - QB 7 Marshawn Lynch - RB 8 Zac Stacy - RB 14 Roddy White - WR 16 Brian Hartline - WR 32 Tavon Austin - WR 36 Rueben Randle - WR 46 Rob Gronk - TE 6 Robbie Gould - K 16 Chicago Bears - D 5 St. Louis Rams - D 6 I'm not feeling to bad this year... I feel I can take a shot at the title. I'm weakest at RB... hooooge depth at WR. If you look at my WR's I've got several starters that will be on the bench this year and will have to play matchups I think. It's going to be a bit of a conundrum some weeks I'm thinking. Austin, Tavon STL WR 126.00 4 FA Brown, Marlon BAL WR 145.40 11 FA Gibson, Brandon MIA WR 80.60 5 FA Hartline, Brian MIA WR 201.60 5 FA Nicks, Hakeem IND WR 145.60 10 FA Randle, Rueben NYG WR 137.10 8 FA Royal, Eddie SDC WR 159.20 10 FA Streater, Rod OAK WR (P) 173.50 5 FA White, Roddy ATL WR 151.10 9 FA Woods, Robert BUF WR (P) Happy with having the 5th and 6th ranked D's in the League both on my roster. I'll have to play matchups there as well.

Competitive, but not a championship contender. WR are solid, but everything else is a bit crap.
gocolts 300 Posted August 4, 2014 Luck Trent Tate TY Hilton Steve Smith Terrance Williams Greg Olsen I am not real sure on that flex yet. Prolly going to have to plug in a rookie and hope for the best. Sanky/Andre Williams/ John Brown, or maybe Kenny Britt. Not really looking like a competitive team. Playing me is like having a bye week. IF some of my rookies go off, I MIGHT get lucky and get a handful of wins. Hoping for maybe a couple of weekly high scores by player this year. I was very happy with the draft though and got damn near everyone I wanted in the later rounds to hopefully help my team down the road. Maybe this team can finally muster a win against EDJR's squad.
