The man was a very capable president. If Jeb! had run as his father's son rather than his brother's brother, even I might have voted for him.

BLS 313 Posted May 5, 2016 Trump will be Krispy Kreme. He's been behind him pretty much since he dropped out. Krispy will try to ride his coattails into the WH, and will probably die of a massive heart attack before then. Clinton? Who knows. I honestly have no clue. naomi 343 Posted May 6, 2016 It seems way more natural that Hilary would have a female running mate if political strategy wasn't a factor, but obviously it is. I would think it would be risky to totally femme the ticket, but if she did, my guess would be Karen Bass. Bass seems like she's down fully with the Hilary program, an ardent supporter, lots of experience, happens to balance Hillary's less focused areas of experience, and she's extremely politically ambitious. Sanders hints at being open to VP https://www.yahoo.com/tv/bernie-sanders-hints-open-vp-talk-003155858.html Sanders is no sell out. You can criticize his compulsion to redistribute money and pass out government candy and largess everywhere, feel free, but the guy deeply believes that what he says and beleives that his prescription for fixing our problems is the truth. You may have noticed that I've not said a kind word about Sanders throughout this campaign, I think in his head that he lives in a fairy tale land with candy cane trees and chocolate milk rivers, but I do respect that he's honest and has integrity. Some people do get into politics for the right reasons and to make a positive change. Sanders may be delusional but he is this sort of guy.

Voltaire 4,558 Posted May 7, 2016 Trump - Newt Newt would be a great choice. He's gone to bat for Trump frequently too. I'd love it. Kasich too. I like 90s Republicans the best. Republicans from before the Bushtard blew up both the deficit and our troops in Iraq. Guys who prioritized balancing the budget. It's why I supported Newt in 2012 and Kasich this year : no Bush stench.
Voltaire 4,558 Posted May 7, 2016 Sanders also ran seminars in the 60's on how to live off of the govt He also buddied up to the Sandinistas and spent his honeymoon in the USSR. That should disqualify him for life. Yet I still like him better than Hillary and most of the GOP tards this year (not Turmp, Kasich, or Cruz though). Instead, I'm hot for a birther who believes far out weird stories in the National Enquirer and disparages the disabled and POWs. Embarrassing year.

"Sell out"? I dunno, sounds kinda silly to me. Is he likely to have some influence as VP? Could he use the position as a way to promote the issues he cares about and keep discussion of massive wealth and income inequality in the news and on the minds of the people? D1ck Cheney wielded quite a lot of influence (for the worse, but still). Joe Biden has been fairly influential as well with same sex marriage and similar issues. Why wouldn't Bernie Sanders want that bully pulpit to carry on his views from the election? Other possibility is fade back into relative obscurity as a senator from a small northeastern state and then it was all for naught.
