Things to Do Near The Pennsylvania Convention Center

Later this spring, I'm gonna be at/near the Pennsylvania Convention Center for work.

 

Any of you's local Philly guys got any suggestions on Bars / Restaurants / Sights to see in that area? Not looking to go too far - walking distance from the Convention center and hotels

Youre in Chinatown and there really arent a ton of historif stuff right there. If you can get down to Olde City you can see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Id recommend Eastern State Penitentiary too but thats a cab ride. Right near you Reading Terminal Market is worth visiting.

Did the retired prison when I was there last summer, there is a walk-in bar/restaurant with a sail boat hanging from the ceiling across the street (or real close?), outstanding food.

 

Highly recommend.

Philly sucks. It's barely above Baltimore and Detroit. I would go to Atlantic City and hit the tables.
