Sammy Watkins *Update - Reportedly Out 4-6 Weeks*

After a limited practice Thursday, he went DND both Friday and Saturday. He was in a great position this week, in what is slated to be a shootout against his former team.

 

Indications all week were that he would be good to go this time, but things are really looking iffy now.....with the dreaded Monday night game for fantasy owners.

 

Please add any additional insight/info, please.

I traded Godwin for Watkins this week with the hopes Watkins would be balling. My oppenent has Mahomes and I have Kelce. i was hoping a Kelce/Watkins combo would absorb a good bit of Mahomes production. I'm in a must win game.

 

My hope is that they saw what they needed on Thurs and are resting him on Fri-Sat, maybe a bit of gamesmanship from Reid. Who knows.

 

I write this not to talk about my team but to say If Watkins is inactive I'll likely drop him and pick up either Conley (who will start opposite of Hill in two WR sets) or I'll get Josh Reynolds (who will take the place of Cooper Cupp). Desperation plays, but it's all I got. Just my two-cents.

I saw that Benjamin won’t be playing this weekend.

 

I think they will be showing him how to use his hands.

 

Watkins being out does indeed rise the Benjamin bar, and on some rosters he could be better then what they now roster.

I grabbed him one league, just dropped him earlier when i saw this. So hurting at WR I thought about starting him..

So with all of this, what are your thoughts on Conley with Mahomes pulling the trigger vs WR's such as:

 

1. Courtland Sutton - Cody whatever his name is

2. DJ Moore - Ailing Cam Newton

3. Justin Reynolds - Jared Goff

4. Michael Gallup - Dak - I know, he's not on too many must have list but this guy has some real talent as they all do being in the NFL but some of the moves / routes I've seen him make are incredible , I would take Conely simply because of the offense and Mahomes but would like everyone's feedback

 

I have Davante Adams as my WR1 and need a WR2 to play the rest of the season. Sutton is currently rostered on my team after dumping Sanders, post IR. I have enough RB's to be my flex such as Michel, Gus Edwards and Spencer Ware.

I still think demarcus Robinson has more upside than Conley. Conley seems to have the trusty of the coaches and gets more reps, but I have been super impressed with what I've seen out of Robinson.
