State of the Union for this league

Based on what I've seen during the abortion that was this draft I have some serious concerns about the upcoming season. It's clear from what took place during the draft that there is a percentage of owners currnetly playing that simply do not care, almost no effort was put forth to draft.

 

I can see those same individuals being completely inactive during the season, especially if they fall behind in the standings. It would not suprise me in the least to have 1 or 2 teams not submitting lineups from week to week come week 5 or 6. This would really taint the records for the entire league and the playoff selections.

 

Do we have some sort of plan action to handle a non- active owner mid-season? If not do we want to come up with a plan of action in the event it happens (read: when it happens)

I'm only Concerned about drobeski. I think kutulu will Good. Frozen is an excellent FF owner from my previous experience. And I mean excellent in terms of participation not having good players ... just kidding.

Megla you bring up a good point -- for me it's a double edged sword -- fi an owner goes weeks without even coming to the league site to put a line up in - I could submit their best line up based on season points scored and the team they played would cry bloddy murder that I helped them lose or I culd leave it as is and everyone would cry that so n so got an easy win. But as Commish I have to make those choices -- and if their is 2 weeks of total activity as in no stopping by the site , no posting here, or no emailing me or Joc to let us know you are still there then I will lock the owner out and I(or Joc) will run the team and select the line up based on most points or common sense and anything they might win goes into the pot for next season. Some other stuff you borught up I adressed in the pinned thread above. Thank you Megla for brining that up.

might i suggest that in the unfortunate event that we have a deadbeat owner who needs to be removed, we should consider trying to find a replacement for them ASAP during the season and let the new owner play out the year.

 

reason being, with the keeper rules as they are I think it will be much more attractive to a replacement owner to get to come in mid season and try to work on trades and use waivers to better their keeper options for 2015. maybe im thinking too much into it though.

I loved the pace we started at but couldnt stand the last few rounds. I am committed. You can always count on a few major injuries to a team lead by the nuts.

So how long do we wait for the last team owner to at least check into the league site before we start thinking of replacing him this year before we find ourselves in a bad situation? We know it's not due to a lack of internet usage so there really is no excuse for it other than apathy or disinterest.

But shedding the dead weight of Drob and bringing IN a solid owner like cuse as been great. Plus, as bad as it was to lose some old members, imo we haven't missed a beat with new guys like fbn, bunny and kutulu. The only thing we won't have is tales of glory days from 7 years ago...

State of the union for me personally is i cant make a right decision to save my life. I am cutting back leagues for next year, though this one i will stick with because i gave a 2 year commitment. I can run 7 leagues when i have a few that are good. I cant run 7 leagues when every week in every league is a must win panic mode.

sorry again man - my mistake for the over look - I saw the trade in my email and was going to process Friday but got cauight up in other and forgot about it. I am glad you won or at least didn't lose by 5 or less -- actually look who you were playing ... I wanted you to win for a few reasons!
