According to 2014 statistics, crime in the United States is the lowest it has been in 40 years.
Thanks Obama!

it's 2017, how are the stats in his home town ?

What a sweeping generalization the OP makes that liberals created whatever is going on in his hometown.

So why didnt B Hussein Obama ever cite this?

He did, you weren't listening.

(And of course the drop in crime is not likely to have anything to do with Obama anymore than the increase crime the OP mentioned had anything to do with liberals.)

An inspector general audit has identified more than $500 billion in "errors corrected" in the notes and financial statements for the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Obama administration.
According to the report released in March, HUD reissued financial statements for fiscal 2015 and 2016 "due to pervasive material errors that we identified." Those errors were contained in a November filing.
"The total amounts of errors corrected in HUD’s notes and consolidated financial statements were $516.4 billion and $3.4 billion, respectively," the IG said.

Most likely just plain ole fraud that has been going on for decades.

This is where I strongly agree with Republicans.

We think we are helping by providing social services, but in fact the poor get barely crumbs of the cake of all the money set aside for aid such as housing.

It's a big racket. People are ripping of the tax payer under the guise of helping the poor with subsidized housing.

I was poor as heck and could never get subsidized housing.

Yet, there would be apartments in NYC that were subsidized that were in fact in the hands of the rich.

Or apartment buildings owned by someone that got rent subsidies that were totally dilapidated.

It's funny, you'd drive by the poorest sections in urban neighborhoods and not realize that those apartments cost top dollar to live in because the owners charge an arm and a leg because the government was footing the bill.

The poor people living inside wouldn't have heat, the floors would have holes, if there was paint it was lead paint, the windows would be nailed shut, no one removed the trash, rat and roach infested because the owners collected the rent but never kept up the buildings.

So, I agree that throwing money at a problem isn't always a solution.

So there was a 40% drop from 2009-2013? You don't know how stats work.

Argue with the statistician, not me.

The articles I've read said that crime rates are low, lower than what they've been in decades past.

From that graph, it looks like it has been trending down since about 1993, Obama was what 32?

You guys don't read do you?

The drop in crime has nothing to do with Obama.

However, stating that gang violence is the fault of liberal policies is ignoring that crime rates have gone down drastically over the years.

Probably, just due to people not doing as much coke/crack.

You realize that was because gun ownership and concealed carry permits were skyrocketing. Armed society = safer society

Think bigger, like gun regulation as it relates to gun-related deaths/injury per capita throughout the US, or the world for that matter. With few exceptions, less guns/more regulation = less gun violence.

Eh, if you take out the wannabe gangster black-on-black gun crimes, it is such a small insignificant problem. There is a group of people that have access to firearms that make those statistics seem much worse than they actually are. Just calling a spade a spade.

Why can't people see "Gun Control" is only about limiting access to guns by those that can legally own them? Criminals will continue getting them illegally (stealing, trading drugs for them, etc..) while lawful citizens will be left unable to buy the to defend themselves.

BBC for the most part is pretty damn good.

With few exceptions, areas with more gun control/restriction have less gun related violence/deaths. The idea that gun ownership makes one safer is misguided.

Overall, the US has relatively lax gun regulation and high gun ownership, yet violent crime is higher here than much of the developed world. You can blame it on the "spades", but I think the problem is far more complex.

i think they said it was because baby boomers were getting older and there are more jails locking up more criminals.

There are simple ways to exclude groups from statistical analyses. Even without the pesky spades, increased availability of guns correlates to increased gun violence.

Anti-FA got their asses whooped yesterday. People have woken up and realized they are not allowed to assemble peacefully. The police are told to stand down by their lezbo chief, so they are left to fend for themselves.

In the wake of their stunning defeat the Lefties are stuck defending radical Islam, illegals, Chinese steel, Chicago murderers, Hollywood snowflakes, the unaffordable care act, transgender bathrooms, Chemical Warfare and Politically Correct Nonsense.

Eric Sasson, while ripping Trump, suggests that the liberal side might want to dial it down:
It is painfully clear that all our outrage didnt work. And now theres a danger of getting sucked into a vortex of what Id like to refer to as outrage porn.

I seem to recall you righties shooting gobs of jizz all over each other every time there was a terror attack during Obama's time in office.
