He's still the Ian Poulter of team USA. I'd captains pick him if he was 100th in the standings

Meh - been there, done that... TW is better served as a cheerleader w/a Walkie-talkie..... It's the kids' time now - let's roll with those.

I know the Euros usually kick our asses at this but our team is focking loaded now. Guys like Kooch, Kisner and Feenow aren't even good enough to get on it. Wowzers.

Koepka will leave a spot open for sure..... I'd love to have any of these 3 on the team - maybe Kisner as the #1 pick... That dude is a straight hitting grinder than can putt like a mofo.

It's Phil and the kids. Unfortunately if Tiger plays his way into the top 13 or so, who is going to have the stones to leave him off?

I'd love to see Bubba drop like a rock in those standings

Always blows my mind that the US doesn't walk away with this year after year.

Even at 20th in the latest Ryder Cup USA standings, Tiger Woods can qualify for a top-eight spot in the standings and earn an automatic place on the U.S. team that will compete at Le Golf National outside Paris, France, in September.
Woods jumped from 31st place to 20th after his T6 finish at The Open Championship at Carnoustie. Perhaps more important than the Ryder Cup points he earned at The Open was the fact he climbed to 50th in the Official World Golf Ranking and just barely qualified for the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, an exclusive field event with roughly 1,600 Ryder Cup points available to the winner.
Woods is not expected to play in the Canadian Open this week.
The four remaining slots on the U.S. Team will be Captain's selections. Three selections will be announced by Captain Jim Furyk following the Dell Technologies Championship scheduled to be completed on September 3, and the final selection will be announced after the BMW Championship, which is slated to be completed on September 9.
If Woods – already a Vice Captain on Furyk’s team – fails to make the team on points, he can also be selected by Furyk as a Captain’s selection.
There are only three events left for U.S. players to earn Ryder Cup points, and after the third – the PGA Championship at Bellerive in St. Louis – the top eight players in the Ryder Cup points rankings will automatically earn a spot on the team.
Woods has 2,340.044 points, nearly 2,000 points behind Webb Simpson, who currently occupies the eighth and final automatic qualifying spot. While it’s a long shot for Woods to climb into the top eight, if he were to, say, win both the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship, he could earn roughly 5,300 points – more than 3,700 of which could come from the PGA Championship. Note: Those numbers are both estimates based on projected purse winnings for the champions, using the previous year’s purses.
The PGA Championship win would be the most important for Tiger, with two points awarded for every $1000 earned (only to the winner). The rest of the field earns 1.5 points for every $1000.
At the Bridgestone Invitational – and for that matter, the Canadian Open – one point is awarded per every $1000 earned.

I guess I should have said it differently.

When Jason Dufner could land Amanda Boyd, Bubba could have scored the same. Easily.

MOST men would have smokes if they wanted them. On the PGA tour. All pro sports really. (white guys anyway) for some reason black dudes like kardashians and sh1t. they never try to do better for themselves

TW played his way on to the team - no denying that.

Also no denying - the US lost the last 4 RCs he's played on.

I understand why, he has experience and hes Phil.

But Xander Soufflé would be the better pick.
