Only paying attention a bit as well...it has seemed that people are going at it with this angle. However most I have seen are not very good comparisons, like this article below. There may be very good examples, but bad examples are attempts to defend Roseanne.

Whataboutism......It's a beautiful weapon to hold in the back pocket because it can be applied in almost any situation throughout history, and it requires no actual defending of the act in question.
