    Odell 1.1, who goes 1.2?

Exactly... The point is you can get a QB of equal value of Eli much later in the draft. 5000 yards and 40 TDs is a lofty projection for someone who averages 4000 yds and hasn't come close to 40 TDs in his career.

Thank you FlyFreak! A voice of reason..... I was going to average out his career stats but I was busy at work.

    Odell 1.1, who goes 1.2?

Well that escalated quickly haha. No need to be a +*%# about it. I was just trying to talk football. Maybe it was nit picking but he has never thrown for 5000 yards and has only thrown over 4500 once in his career( the year you are referring too) Should we round his 31 TDs up to 35 so it looks better too? Please, don't compare Eli manning with 2 hall of fame players, especially Tom Brady. Listen I agree, Eli could/should be a good value next year. I'll be targeting him in most drafts too but not the 3rd round. 5th the earliest. That is where we agree and disagree. So, by all means take him in the 3rd round. Then next year one of us will be saying "I told you so".

And I didn't even add Peyton Manning to that list of players.

    Odell 1.1, who goes 1.2?

I think you can get him in the 6th-8th round next year. I don't think anybody is projecting Manning at 40 TDs and 5000 yards next year. He has never thrown for over 5000 yards and his career high is 31 TDs in a year. Not to mention these QBs will probably go before him : Rodgers, Luck, Brady, Brees, Wilson, Ryan and Romo. He would probably be drafted with Stafford, Rothelisberger, Rivers and Tannehill group. Point is you can get him later in the draft or draft a player of equal value much later than 3rd round. I understand your point of reaching for certain players but he us not one of them.

Eli Manning in the 3rd round!?!? That's just crazy!

    fantasy playoff team

Looks good! What are some good sites to set up a fantasy playoff league with my friends? We've done the NFL fantasy playoff challenge the last 2 years but looking to do something different.

How good is ODB this week?

STL is a very good defense and will slow down him down, however you can't bench him. The last 4 weeks he has been very productive but he has played against Dallas, Jax, TEN and Wash......not exactly great defenses. The 2 prior games he played against SF and Sea and put up 13.5 and 15 pts ( half PPR). I think you're expecting somewhere along those numbers especially being at STL.

What do you need from MNF to advance?

Going into Sunday nights game I was feeling pretty good being down only 9 pts with Jordan Matthews and Brees to go. Obviously Matthews got me 0 points. I'm thinking with my luck, Brees will get around 5 pts.

    I'm so unlucky in FF

The very definition of luck is--- success or failure brought by chance rather than through one's own actions. The fantasy football season begins with a random draft order that you have no control over and continues with the schedule being randomly generated. You don't get to choose when you want to play the guy who has half his team on a bye a certain week. Also, your actions are not affecting your opponents starting QB and RB going down in the first quarter helping your team for a potentially easy win, that is not skill. BUT I do believe skill or hard work does play a factor. Researching players, waiver pick ups, choosing your optimal starting line up each week, etc. goes a long way in helping your team and putting yourself in the best position to win each week but that only goes so far. (See Giants Fan poker example) . Sometimes things out of your control happen, injuries to key players mid game, running into an opponents player who DRASTICALLY out performs his projected points ( Charles last year week 15), etc. Can't put it in a percentage as some people are doing but I think it's a good mix of luck and skill. I think making the playoffs consistently puts more emphasis on skill but to win a championship, a lot of things have to go your way.
