Calvin Johnson's best days are behind him.

Yeah. He needs to hang it up.

    J. Thomas vs J. Cook

Owned. Completely and totally owned. When will people learn not to be so adamant about things like this?
  3. TexansWinSB

Where do I need to improve?

It's a 4/5 player keeper league, PPR , 10 teams, and I have the following team: QB: Matt Ryan, Eli Manning RB: Forte, Ridley, D Wilson, Eddie Lacy, Mendenhall, Andre Brown WR: AJ Green, Torrey Smith, Eric Decker, P Harvin, Stevie Johnson, Greg Jennings TE: Jermichael Finley, Jermaine Gresham Def: Rams I think I'm weakest at WR. I took Harvin on the off chance he's ready to go by fantasy playoffs and worst case might be an interesting keeper, but won't be much help during the year. Should I try to move one of my RBs along with a WR in order to upgrade?

Dez Bryant the number 1 ranked WR for next year?

I didn't say that he was, is, or ever will be. I was commenting on the trajectory of their careers as it relates to their WRs' stats this year. Thomas has a vastly superior QB throwing to him and still has slightly worse stats. My point is that while Peyton is far superior to Dalton, he is also in the latter stages of his career and his skills / stats will start to diminish. Ultimately this means that Thomas' stats will go down and Green's will go up as he and Dalton improve, as I think it's safe to say they will. That, to me, means the gap will widen between the two in favor of AJ Green. That may be oversimplifying it a bit because it's always possible that Thomas could improve at a faster rate than Green, thus compensating for Manning's inevitable decline, but nothing (IMO) I've seen from Green or Thomas would suggest that. I do think Thomas is a very talented player, but skills and situation for each of these WRs makes me think Green is the better choice in redrafts and keeper leagues.

Dez Bryant the number 1 ranked WR for next year?

Ranking Thomas over Green is a tough one for me to understand. His stats, while comparable, are not as good as Green's even considering that he has an extra year of experience on him. Factor in that he has a HOF quarterback throwing to him while Green has Andy Dalton and I don't get the argument that he's more talented, or a better pick, than Green. While Manning is certainly a better QB than Dalton at this stage of their careers, the trajectory of each is, or will be very shortly, going in opposite directions, as Peyton's age is going to catch up to him eventually. And when it does it will affect Thomas' stats. This fact makes the choice of Green over Thomas even more obvious in keeper and dynasty leagues. Green is going into his third year which has widely been known as the year in which WRs make big strides, and Andy Dalton will definitely be improved with another year under his belt. All of the above information is related to stats and situation, but speaking from a pure talent perspective I don't see Thomas as superior to Green, either.
  6. 1 PPR / 1 point per 15 receiving yards. It's a 4/5 player keeper league. I'm 4-4 with the following lineup: QB: Matt Ryan / Andy Dalton RB: CJ0K / Bradshaw / Forte / FJax / Ridley / D. Wilson / Daryl Richardson / Jacquizz Rodgers WR: AJ Green / D. Moore / G. Jennings / K. Wright / Andre Roberts TE: Jared Cook K: Matt Bryant DEF: Green Bay Packers I am in the process of trading CJ0K for a second round draft pick so consider him off of the board. I'm just looking for a superstar RB for years to come and I think Spiller may fit the bill. Also, I think I'm buying low on Nicks as I think he'll break out now that he's healthy. He's a young WR so could be a keeper for years to come. I don't have a lot of faith in Ridley past this year, same with Bradshaw and FJax. So my keepers after the trade would most likely be: Matt Ryan Matt Forte CJ Spiller Hakeem Nicks
  7. What do you guys think the value of CJ Spiller is going into next year? How much time does FJax have on his contract? Do you see him taking significant touches from Spiller next year also? How about J Charles? I know he's been struggling these past few weeks but what are his long-term prospects? Do you guys see him bouncing back or is the mess of an RBBC the new reality in KC? Obviously I have a trade offer that would send these two players (and Hakeem Nicks) to my team in a keeper league but I'm wanting to discuss pertinent facts about these players that affects their value rather than just asking if Player X is worth Player Y.

Chris Johnson shows up vs my team

That makes more sense, but still a good trade for you.

Chris Johnson shows up vs my team

Which McCoy? Tell me someone didn't trade you LeSean straight up and you're upset because of this ONE week...
  10. TexansWinSB

    Where is Ridley!?

77 yards and a TD in the 3rd isn't so bad for where he was drafted. I'll take it.
  11. TexansWinSB

    Foster and Tate

Am I overthinking it considering starting CJ?K over Tate? This should be a no-brainer considering Johnson's .5 YPC, right?
  12. TexansWinSB

    Cam Letdown

AJ Green is the #1 WR in my league....
  13. TexansWinSB

    Jennings?

Have D. Moore of Oakland in there right now because I'm nervous about Jennings starting. I can't find anything definitive so was hoping for some advice.
  14. TexansWinSB

    Jared Cook!

Dropped him earlier in the week for Scott Chandler

Favorite FF player of all time?

Marshall Faulk was really fun to own. Had him in my keeper league. Then owned Brian Westbrook and Shaun Alexander at one time in the same keeper league. That was a hell of a lot more fun than this season (Chris Johnson, Forte, FJax, Bradshaw/D. Wilson, Jennings)
