26 Quarters

Recommended Posts

It has been 26 quarters since an Offensive Lineman has been called for holding against the Cowboys. And we all know it happens on just about every play.

:wall:

Talk about conspiring.

It was Fonz's lame cousin Angie who set the record. 40 coins or so.

In the last 33 quarters or equivalent to 8 and 1/4 games, the Cowboys have not had luck on their side in one particular category. Their opponent hasn't been called for a single offensive holding penalty.

instead of cracking jokes, do any of you find this focking crazy? :dunno:

It's getting beyond obvious now - flat out blatant.. I have seen numerous plays were the offensive lineman has our guy hooked, up by the neck - and nothing is called.

At first I was pissed, now I just laugh... Plus, it's helping us lose - which I'm good with....... time to focus on a higher draft spot.

Maybe, but I would like to see this stat in context: Have other such steaks by other teams occurred in the past? Is this really a crazy crazy anomaly or if its just something that happens at times to teams with lousy pass rushers? Do the Cowboys drop back into coverage more than other teams? Do they blitz much?

No doubt, I've been keeping a close eye and seriously see a hold on almost every play.

Regarding the Draft, with the way they've been drafting lately, don't know what good it'll do.

OK - Found a site that list holding calls against.

So Far in 2017 here amount of holding calls against the whole season:

Dallas and New England have the least at 7

The Broncos, Saints, Titans, and Vikings are next at 9

Giants have benefitted the most: 23

Patriots, Cowboys and Saints are not favorites of Goodell. so, run with it conspiracy nuts.

Cowboys streak is interesting but the total number of calls against them for the season is not unusual.

4 of the 6 teams with the least amount of beneficial holding calls are currently playoff bound teams.

See Beneficiary column in link: http://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/offensive-holding?view=team&year=2017

Also keep in mind that those stats I posted are for ALL offensive holding calls. Including wide receiver and running back holds. The Cowboys were the beneficiary of a Sanu (WR) hold 3 games ago. Cruzer's stat is just for holds on the offensive linemen.

still a possibility

They were quite lost without Zeke, Lee & Tyron, but they reminded me a little bit of the Grinch last night when the Sleigh was sliding off the cliff.

If they can play with confidence now and maybe win out, maybe get a break or 2 in the process, we'll be hard to beat in the playoffs.

This team was this close to making a major change, to really making a difference........ by that I mean a house clean out of Garrett and his staff.

All this win did was save Garrett's job and re-rally the cheer squad.. Never mind the clown's job who was saved is the same clown who's done jack squat for 8 years - with all of 1 playoff win... This win did more harm than good.
