Week 13 Help, Plus Playoff Preparation, Please!

Recommended Posts

Week 13:

QB: Big Ben (NO) or Tony Romo (Phi)

WR: Martavis Bryant (NO), Odell BJ (@Jax), Brandon Marshall (@Det), Roddy White (Ari), TY Hilton (Was)

RB: LeSean McCoy (@Dal), Lamar Miller (@NYJ) or Latavius Murray (@StL) --One slot saved is DeMarco Murray, No-Brainer there--

TE: Greg Olsen (@Min)

K: Stephen Gostkowski (@GB)

DST: NYG (@Jax) or SF (@Sea)

I picked up Odell and Latavius Murray off the waiver wire and dumped Vincent Jackson (only 2 TDs with so-so yardage in-between) and Delanie Walker (Olsen gets too many targets to substitute and did this to make room for Odell).

My league is a standard non-PPR on Yahoo. I'm in 1st place (9-3) and clinched a playoff berth last week.

For this week, if I'm going to start Martavis Bryant shouldn't I, on principle, start Big Ben as well? What gives me pause is Philly's defense has given up the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs. Is having DeMarco Murray enough of an incentive to start Romo instead? Now that I have so many productive receivers, I'm just not sure which way to go. If Latavius Murray is cleared to play against the Rams, I'd like to experiment by starting him over McCoy. Is the matchup for L.M. good enough here to do that?

For the playoffs, I took a gamble on Latavius Murray at a modest risk that Vincent Jackson won't suddenly explode the last four weeks. Another reason was to be sure no one else was going to get him -- a worthy risk? This is also the reason why I've kept Lamar Miller even though I rarely used him. Once I'm in the playoffs, the choices for receiver may become difficult. How would you judge the best possible matchups for them? From what you see overall, what other tweaks would you advise?

Ok, it's kind of weird giving advice to someone with a better record than me... lol. I'm starting John Brown AZ over Reuben Randall good move? An the best NYG WR over Ingram good move? I don't know you seem to be on a roll this yr lol.

As far as QB.

I feel all you said don't get caught up in all that must start a QB/WR combo stuff drives me nuts... NO has a weak run D so it wouldn't be crazy Bell has another great game and Ben is ok but not great.

I like Romo... wow! In a primetime divisional game I feel he finally figured it out and vs a tough NYG team who gave them all they wanted he was great.

WR (wait what are your rules I go standard)

WR1 TY Hilton

WR2 ODB (If healthy) if not then Bryant

RB1 McCoy (thx God he turn it on finally)

DST Recommending NYG... or SF.

I'm saying 49ers but I'm a fan. But I seen them shut down mediocre receivers (lol... yeah, I said that Sherman) all yr... stuff run game like Phi game. Sea got injuries at the OL. There games a blue collar anyways so run the football low scoring and low yds games. Plus if you score yds.

If you want the safe start NYG cause well it's Jax but I'm not overly excited and with Denard emerging and Bortles 2/3 season in there not the run over team they were a month ago. If you score yds then garbage time pass yds might hurt you.
