Bonehead baseball play

Ole Miss 3, Georgia 1, GA batting with 2 outs, men on 2rd and 3rd.....

You can't see it in this video, but the catcher was pointing at first trying to tell the pitcher to throw there.

With two outs, why would you go home for the out?

You wouldn't. Plus, there was no one on first, so it wasn't even a force out. I think he lost his mind for a few seconds.

Trying to figure out where his mistake was...did he think it was less than two outs or did he think the bases were loaded? Rare to see a pitcher get that lost though.

I was playing third base, we had a 4-3 lead, this was the bottom of the 7th but since we only played seven innings, it was effectively the 9th.

Guys on 2nd and 3rd. One out.Their big strong cleanup hitter at the plate and all their fans on their feet in anticipation for how he's going to win the game for them. Focker hit a blistering hot line drive straight at me. I catch it and look and see the moron runner that had been on third base is halfway home and looking at me with utter terror in his eyes. That put a big smile on my face.
