How Sad

Recommended Posts

Ravens say they handle each arrest on case by case basis . It's sad . It's time for these over paid Football players to grow up or get out and get a real job . Time to cut the cord and let them learn the hard way . Spare the Rod Spoil the Child .

That's a careful way of saying if a guy can still play we will overlook the arrest, if he can't play we will cut him.

Why is it sad, or hard to comprehend? It happens every day across America. Actors can spew hate filled speech of bigotry, but if they can act, people will flock to see their movies. Musicians will binge on alcohol and drugs, destroy property and violate the virtues of women - but if they can sing, people will buy their music. Sales people and brokers can beat their spouses and cheat on their vows - but if they produce profits they will have a job... To think the NFL is any different is stupid.

And some former NFL players will beging "preaching" on tv so they can request your hard-earned money. I won't mention any names, but how many times was the plate passed around the last time a former Cornerback by the name of Sanders had a church service on television? "C'mon folks, the Lord wants you to give. Give more. You will be blessed for giving all you can...." Yeah, the NFL choir boys are so much better.....

If I'm an NFL owner, I'm perfectly ok with having Ray Lewis, LT, Michael Irvin or anyone else on my team, provided they can play. I'm not drafting a church deacon, a choir boy or preacher simply because they are "good" people. The NFL is not a "good" sport. It's a violent sport and I am fine with having violent players on my team. I don't recall any team winning the Superbowl, then holding a prayer sermon or donating more than enough of their paycheck to receive a tax break to a charity. There are exceptions (Reggie White, Andre Johnson and Kurt Warner to name a few).

For what it's worth, I don't think God is watching the NFL. It's like when you have two boxers enter the ring. Both kneel and pray before the bout. What are they praying about? "Dear God, help me beat the holy sh*t out of this mother f***er. Amen." Yeah, I tend to think God stays out of sports on gameday.

Two boxers will pray that they walk out of the ring . Now that's asking God to bless them so they don't get hurt or even die . God is watching anyone and everyone of us , if you play In The NFL or not . God does not care about the outcome of the game but he does care about the people playing the game . Tv will never show players having a prayer sermon on tv that would upset the unbelievers . So there is no way to know if it takes place or not . And there is a reason why you are not a owner ,,, It's Gods will .
