So, I came to China with the expectation of, one way or another, getting laid. Frequently. Well, while the initial pickup is ridiculously easy here, in fact often initiated by them, closing the deal... damn near impossible.

 

I will now give a complete rendition of my relations, or lack thereof, with the fairer sex of the Orient.

 

So obviously, my company has a number of single guys here. A few Americans, a Brit or three, some Singaporeans, Malaysians, an Aussie or two, etc. And, as it often does, the topic often turns to the universal male topic. "So how does one get one's d!ck wet around here?"

 

The following is a distillation of my personal experience, and the advice given to me by veterans who have been here a year or more.

 

There are basically three options for getting poosay around here.

 

1. Local girls

2. Hookers

3. Other foreginers

 

Number three is easily dealt with. I live in Zhengzhou, which, while a city of 11 million people, is fairly off the beaten path for foreigners. It is not like Shanghai or Beijing, where a vibrant expat community exists. There are a couple of expat bars, that's really about it. And they tend to be sausagefests. Its kind of like a Hemingway novel I guess.

 

Number 2 is easy. Of course, I am broke until payday. At that point, I will be paying the ladies of the night a visit I expect. At $30-50, one can easily afford to take care of all ones carnal needs here.

 

Number 1 is where things get interesting. The local girls, as I have mentioned, are hot. Also extremely friendly. However, I have been advised not to waste my time. They do not put out before marriage. Ever. Apparently, they are considered an investment by their fathers. I say investment because the groom, according to Chinese custom, buys her parents a house.

 

So I mentioned in another thread that I was seeing a girl.Well apparently I was wrong. You see, according to her, we are friends. See, I stupidly thought that when you meet a girl, chat with her by text (using translation software) day and night for a week, take her out three times, and even buy her a gift, that meant you were dating. Apparently, dating doesn't exist here. There is marriage, and girlfriend, or engaged to marriage.

 

So we'll see how and when this blows up in my face. I am the biggest fool on two continents.

Asian cultures are weird like that. They're either virtuous girls or literally wh0res. They don't seem to have women who are just sluts but don't get paid for it. Or women who aren't "sluts" per se but like to have a little fun on their own terms.

Doesn't seem that way. In fact, when I am tired of constantly being confused, a little game I play is to ask them "why?" When they say things are forbidden.

 

It's fun to watch their minds explode. They are trained from birth to obey, not think. It is probably the biggest cultural difference.

I think things just move slowly here. And dating a foreigner, who doesn't speak the language no less, is probably fairly daring for a girl here.

 

I'll just play her game for a while. It's not like I'm in any hurry or anything.
