Did I ever tell you about my experience with people who can drink more than a human should be able to?

 

In traffic school, for a ticket, the instructor was a retired cop. He told us how he quit drinking. He said if he was drunk though, he would never blow anything above 0 on a breathalizer because he has some extra enzyme in his body that breaks down alcohol. I'm like, yeah whatever.

 

Fast forward, my buddy's wife, who is about 5'9 and slim, doesn't drink but once in a while, can drink anyone under the table. Took two well known alkys on back to back shot for shot. Both went down puking before she was all that drunk. Weird.

 

One of my best friends was renting a room in my basement. He stumbles in the door, slurring his words and says, I just got pulled over. Ummm... how are you not arrested? I blew zeros.

 

So at this point I am putting all these things together wondering if it's not BS. Although I couldn't find anything online about it really.

 

Final person I meet with this. Guy I work with says he drinks 20+ beers every other night. He never ever seems like he had been pounding alcohol the next day. Our of curiosity I ask him, have you ever been breahtalized, having a feeling I knew the answer. He tells me he was in a parking lot, outside a bar smoking on New Years eve. Cop pulls up just to chit chat. He asks the cop if he can use his breathalizer to see what his BAC is. He blows in it and hands it back to the cop saying, Hah, its broke. I just blew 0.

When I came here and dropped sixty plus pounds in a few months, I was the biggest lightweight ever. I never drank back in the states (major pothead though).

 

Hell, now I get a buzz on two or three beers.

 

When we were in Laos, one of the things there is whiskey with poisonous snakes and scorpions and sh!t in it. I have a bottle of each here on my shelf. At the distillery, you can try samples. Of course, I tried some of each. I mean you have to right?

Not to come across as a beer snob but I have some friends that can pound Miller Lites and you'd never know they've been drinking,however,they've tried my Tank 7 and immediately say no way.Just making the point that all beers are not created equal so that could be part of the reason as well.

Agree completely. Coots Lite and me have an understanding. But if I start drinking Abita Turbo Dogs or any other dark beers, I'm toast.

There was a guy on "the Man Show" named the Fox. We used to go see this guy live at bars all over Los Angeles. He could pound a mug of beer in about 1.5 seconds flat, while standing on his head. Focking unbelievable. I have no doubt he could down a pitched in 15 seconds. RIP Bill "the Fox" Foster.

Wow Im not sure Ive ever seen an ipa below 6%.

Its honestly one of the best IPAs I have ever had. It has the flavor of a higher abv IPA.

 

One of my other favorite IPAs, Stone Go To IPA, is at 4.5%. It too has a full flavor, yet only .3% more abv than Miller lite
