Would You Make this Trade - WHIR

Recommended Posts

In our office, I overhead the owner of a 1 - 5 team indicating he was desperate for a QB...he's basically given up on the season but at least wants to try hard enough to get another win or 2. I have Brees and Rivers. My RB situation just got a little worrisome as I have Murray and Henry and read that they are now projected to split carries down the middle the rest of the season. I was going to offer:

Philip Rivers and DeMarco Murray

and in return

Jordan Howard and Devin Funchess

I get an upgrade at RB and he gets a starting QB.

Primary risk to me is if Brees gets hurt, the only QBs left are Trubisky, Keenum, and Cutler.

Thoughts?

Without knowing the rosters at rb and WRs it's a tough one to call.

Just from what I see, I think the other owner would be giving up to much.

But it's a tough call since I don't know the rosters.

Here are rosters:

Me: QB - Brees, Rivers; RB - Gordon, Murray, Henry, Martin, Smallwood, Collins; WR - Diggs, Hopkins, Matthews, Snead, T. Williams

Him: QB - Winston, Luck, Flacco; RB - McCoy, Howard, Breida; WR - Jeffrey, Montcrief, Funchess, R. Anderson

As mentioned, he has lost interest in full competition and not sure if he's about to have a fire sale. It is a 14-team league.

The ther owner does indeed need a QB.

But the best player right now on that team is Howard.

So he would giving up his best player for a qb.

Would will of course you can make the offer and it would truly help out your team.

But his team would be done of he does this deal.
