larrymcirish 0 Posted June 28, 2006 fftoday is projecting driver as the 5th best wr, ahead of some pretty heavy hitters. footballguys.com's adp has him @ the #17 wr. i would say that getting # 5 for a #17 pick represents some pretty good value. are driver, favre & the pack just getting no respect? where else can i see some adp's? Wildman 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Try Xpert sports or Antsports for ADPs. You can try my site for these hopefully next year

famousb 11 Posted June 29, 2006 fftoday is projecting driver as the 5th best wr, ahead of some pretty heavy hitters. footballguys.com's adp has him @ the #17 wr. i would say that getting # 5 for a #17 pick represents some pretty good value. are driver, favre & the pack just getting no respect? where else can i see some adp's? antsports has an ADP of 17 for him as well - which i think is about right. do i think projecting him as the #5 WR is a little risky, certainly. But look at history and you'll see alot of the top5 WRs every year come out of nowhere - where was SSmith two years ago, where was Moose 3 years ago? etc... etc... Driver had 80+ rec's and 1200+ yds the last two years. His only knock was that he only had 5 TDs last year, but twice he's had 9. Last year he was the 13th ranked WR, twice he's been #10. Favre and Driver have been playing together for a long time, and he should pretty much be Favre's reliable target this year. If he even maintains his level of yards at the 1250 mark, and gets back to the 9 TD mark it could very easily put him in the top echelon of WRs this year. Granted, alot of this hinges on the running game, and the offense as a whole. But for a gamble on a 4th rd. WR, and choosing between Driver, Walker, and AJ, i'd probably be inclined to go Driver since he has more of a history and proven performance... The other two i think could be good, but i don't see top 5 potential at all in them...
remote controller 133 Posted June 30, 2006 I have him on the edge of top 10 at 11, and am targeting him in round 4, after grabbing backs in the first 3 rounds. He should make a solid #1.
SoloMatisse 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Id rank Driver in the 12-15 range. Anything happens to Favre in his final year, perhaps unlikely, and Driver is worthless.
biglou 2 Posted July 1, 2006 I'm using my first 3 picks this year on keepers. I'm keeping Alexander, Edge, and Lamont Jordan; I'm targeting recievers like Driver in the fourth or hopefully fifth round.

Good plan, and there is a real glut of Wr talent in the middle of this draft.
