Guys you are targeting and sleepers.

Recommended Posts

I was targeting Randle depending on what I hear in the next 3 weeks. Top 5-10 RB potential.

I like Blount he seems to be reachable in the 6th or 7th has 1000 and 10 potential.

Woodhead I believe is a steal too. I do all PPR leagues.

I usually like Garcon but I believe he is moving up.

Ball, Ajayi, Eli, Taneyhill, Bradford and Dwayne Allen

Murray and randle are sleepers for about 50% of drafters, minimum. It will be hars to get a real deal on either of those players. If they produce as top 10 rbs then their current value is obviously still good. THe risk factor is a little higher though which makes taking them in round 3 pretty risky, which is where these two rbs will be close to come late august. Thats my opinion at least.

I play in a 2 qb league and I am targeting Winston as my 2. Heven is a person but with 3 towers to throw the ball to I can easily see him putting up good enough 2nd qb numbers.

I don't think Murray will come that cheap but I'm still targeting him. He's not a sleeper by any means but I like him at his ADP and I prefer target drafting.

Mike Evans has almost as much upside as ODB and I'm targeting him if he slips a bit. People foolishly are wary because of Winston but he's an upgrade over last years bums. So if Winston plays bad we already know Mike can still dominate. But if Winston is good...watch out. The unknown factor is what drives the upside through the roof. For all we know Winston pulls a Cam newton and Evans is a top 5 wr. If you can get Evans as your wr2 somehow, do it.

I liked Blount until the Pats said he showed up to camp overweight and out of shape. I'm keeping an eye on the TE situation in Denver. Manning has a long history of making TEs post good years out of no where. Dallas Clark comes to mind at INDY. Obviously Thomas while in Denver too. Now that he is gone, someone else is going to step up.

I like Owen Daniels to flirt with 10tds. He may not put up yardage but he's a great redzone guy and like you said, always keep an eye on Peyton's TEs. Hope Orange Julius enjoys his 600 6 this year in Jax.

By unknown factor I meant Winstons skill and nfl prowess is unknown. He could suck or he could blow up. I didnt mean it like I dont know what the factor is lol.

Abdullah with the Lions could be a good late pickup with the news about Bell having a hard time recovering from his injures .

V Jackson I think will get a lot of looks from, his rookie qb this season I like him late .

I love Abdullah too. May not even go late, he's gaining steam and if he has one good root blurb or preseason play his adp could take off.

Eli Manning. If Cruz returns to star form Eli could be a steal.

I came here to post Eli as well. If ODBjr is truly studly and Cruz comes back healthy and with some of the other improving receivers i.e. Randle, Eli should be good for 30+ TD's.

He has James Jones now too.....not to mention Vereen and Jennings. From the looks of this thread, Eli is losing sleeper value quickly.

I think Hyde and Lativus will both really out produce their adp. I could easily see both in the top 10. No more gore and in his second year Hyde should really flourish. Murray is just a beast in size and speed and we saw

Glimpse of his talent vs KC.

I read that Kap and Vernon Davis look stronger than ever..I think although E. Sanders had a big year I think the speak of them being run heavy, and Peyton getting older may make people sleep on him a bit. I think moving to slot will make him more productive and as an ex owner, I noticed Peyton looked for him alot in the red zone for some reason.

Not sure if I am sold on Hyde just yet . I think in PPR I would rather wait late and get r bush before Hyde . Where is he going to go the oline is going to be a big problem .

- for my 3 ppr leagues, targeting Vereen, Helu and Woodhead ... all 3 should rack up the catches

love the kid Abdullah, but latest mocks have his adp edging slightly ahead of Joique ... might be too rich :dunno:

Tre Mason, because Gurley needs to get in game shape

We all have to hope the reports from camp keep a message of bad hamstrings and conservative recovery timetables.

Keep it down will ya. He's how I spend $1 in my auction on a Top 10 (and I think top 5) QB.

I think people don't like him fantasy wise because his name is Manning, but not Peyton.

He's not Andrew Luck, but he also saves me a ton of cap space.

The biggest reason I dislike Eli is his inconsistency. He finished 11th in my league last year which is fine but he too many bad weeks. Here's how his scoring went in my league last year.

8.2 - 18.4 - 19.6 - 35.1 - 17.7 - 7.9 - 25.5 - bye - 27.8 - 16.2 - 8.0 - 26.9 - 16.4 - 15.0 - 24.5 - 31.3

He averaged 19.9 per game which is OK but I don't want three games in the single digits from my QB. I'd rather have Rivers who averaged 20.15 in my league which isn't a huge increase but he only had one single digit game. That's more important to me.

Two of them was on his first six games , and game six was Beckhams second game .

That doesn't change anything. I know he's got a lot of weapons this year so everyone is expecting him to have an amazing season and I think he should too but I'm not sure he will. He's a definite sleeper pic though with upside.

So not having is best wr did not been nothing to his point total ? I think it does . Lots of qbs get ranked based on the talent they have around them .

I haven't looked at the stats but I'm going by my own memory of Eli over the last few years. I don't remember him ever putting up consistent numbers in the past.

I was just looking at your post about his point per week output . And when I looked at it I also notice that Beckham was not there until week 5 plus I think Cruz got hurt around that time . So my only point is would anyone ever draft a qb like Stanford if C Johnson was not playing with him , so I do think having a good surrounding cast does help a qb draft statis .

If he lit it up each week he wouldn't be on a sleeper list. This could be the year if the receiving corp plays lights out. We all have doubts. I'd like them to throw more, which is Eli's challenge. Coughlin gets hung up on the run game quite a bit.

Just looking at last year's stats I see QBs like Cutler, Rivers and Stafford that all scored similar total points but all scored more consistent through the season. I want a QB that rarely ever puts up a single digit week. I know that every QB is capable of having a single digit game and that's OK. I just want to stay away from the QBs who have three or more each year.

Eli has had many top 10 fantasy finishes and practically his whole career hes a yearly "wait and just get eli" pick. sometimes it pays off big time with a big year and other times he faceplants.

Any new thoughts with drafts finally rolling through?

My main wish or concern is that I wish I had made more of an effort to get Bradford.

Who are people targeting at QB, RB and WR/TE as must have's for your draft?

For me it's been:

- QB - Bradford

- RB - Randle, Lat. Murray

- WR - Jordan Matthews, Hopkins, Charles Johnson

- TE - Daniels

I feel like I'm missing the boat on the big breakout WR this year though, who is it? Landry, perhaps?
