whoisjgalt

playoff picture / fraft order

Recommended Posts

1st seed = wilzone 14-2 with the top seed already clinched

2nd seed = whoisjgalt 11-5 with the division title clinched but not the bye

3rd seed = whichever of emoney 10-6 or farmer bernie 10-6 wins the vets division (*)

4th seed = whichever of ob1 8-8 or scooby 8-8 or grandpahoo 8-8 emerges from the clusterfock atop that division (+)

5th seed = the leftover of the battle for the 3rd seed (emoney or farmer bernie)

6th seed = the two leftovers from the 4th seed battle are also tied with orgazmo 8-8 and cornerback 8-8 for the last playoff slot while lydell 7-9 and icemeg 7-9 are just a game back

* they play this coming week and farmer bernie has the edge because if he wins that game it doesn't matter how he does in the other one while emoney would need to win both to be certain about winning the division

+ g'hoo plays both of the the other two so he's the only one who controls his own destiny

Also, CMT leads the reggie bush sweepstakes as the only one with more than ten losses.

You need to catch up one game to gain the bye - as long as you also beat Bernie for the division title. That's what you get for beating me on the LT/Gates bye week. :unsure:

To gain the bye, I need to win as many as EMoney and one fewer than FB wins.

Would this league be rooned if I end up with a bye in the playoffs? :pointstosky:

For the Silverbacks, 'hoo'hoo leads both ob and scooby and if he holds on to win both then he wins the divison. Against ob he's basically focked (up 7.7 without any more coming vs Hasselbeck & Jurevicius). He's got a slightly better chance against scooby (up 4.9 vs Akers). Since they have both beaten twitchy, 'hoo'hoo neads hold on against both to win the divison. If they both beat 'hoo'hoo, then scooby wins the tiebreaker (2-0 h2h vs ob).

For the Vets, it's all a matter of whether Alexander can get 14.5 or not. If not, emoney wins it. If so, then it's farmer bernie.

wildcards:

> 10-6 emoney wins the division if he holds off bernie - he's already beaten icemeg to get to 11 wins and at least assure a wildcard selection

> 10-6 farmer bernie wins the division if he gets 14.5 from Alexander to beat emoney - if not then he won't beat jasper either and falls to 10-8 where he could get into a tiebreaker situation for the wildcards

> 8-8 scooby wins the division if he beats 'hoo'hoo by getting 5 from Akers - he's at least got one win this week

> 8-8 ob1 wins the division if he beats 'hoo'hoo and scooby doesn't do the same - he's at least got one win this week

> 8-8 grandpahoo wins the division if he holds off both ob and scooby - he could get the wildcard if he holds off one of the pair

> 8-8 orgazmo is getting swept this week and needs at least one win to get to the tiebreakers - it looks grim with just Jerramy Stevens vs a 15.2 point deficit & Reggie Brown & LJ Smith -or- vs a 38.7 point deficit

> 8-8 cornerback has that 38.7 point lead on orgazmo and a tenuous 8.56 point lead on wilzone and wilzone's got Westbrook left

> 7-9 icemeg has fallen to 7-11 and gets renamed again

> 7-9 buffington has beaten tus and needs >15.8 from Reggie Brown Greg Lewis & the Eagles D to beat whoisjgalt

emoney gets the second bye week if Alexander scores fewer than 14.5 and Reggie Brown Greg Lewis + the Eagles D score more than 15.8 - otherwise it's whoisjgalt

So far, we know (*):

1st = wilzone

2nd = whoisjgalt

3rd = farmer bernie

4th = tbd

5th = emoney

6th = tbd

next week:

farmer bernie vs the tbd wildcard

emoney vs the silverback divison winner

(*) as long as Alexander doesn't lose 25+ yards in the second half without scoring more TD's

4th = tbd

We also can figure that this one isn't g'hoo, since ob already took the lead in their game making ob 10-8. Scooby can still take the division, but Akers will need to start scoring first.

Ob wins the silverback division thanks to scooby having Akers get shut out. So he's the 4th seed. He plays the 5th seeded emoney next week.

Also, g'hoo misses out on the division title by a mere 0.22 or 5½ yards of passing.

Scooby, g'hoo, and cornerback tie for the 6th seed with 9-9 records.

G'hoo went 2-0 vs scooby and 0-1 vs cornerback (2-1 in total)

Scooby went 0-2 vs g'hoo and 1-0 vs cornerback (1-2 in total)

Cornerback went 0-1 vs scooby and 1-0 vs g'hoo (1-1 in total)

I think ( :cry: ) that this'll give the 6th seed to g'hoo and that he'll play Farmer Bernie next week.

So, assuming that the 6th seed stuff in the last post is correct, we'd have:

1st = wilzone

2nd = whoisjgalt

3rd = farmer bernie

4th = ob1

5th = emoney

6th = grandpahoo

next week:

farmer bernie vs grandpahoo

ob1 vs emoney

week fifteen:

if farmer bernie wins next week then

> wilzone plays the ob1-emoney winner

> whoisjgalt plays farmer bernie

if grandpahoo wins next week then

> wilzone plays grandpahoo

> whoisjgalt plays the ob1-emoney winner

Scooby, g'hoo, and cornerback tie for the 6th seed with 9-9 records.

G'hoo went 2-0 vs scooby and 0-1 vs cornerback (2-1 in total)

Scooby went 0-2 vs g'hoo and 1-0 vs cornerback (1-2 in total)

Cornerback went 0-1 vs scooby and 1-0 vs g'hoo (1-1 in total)

I think ( :doublethumbsup: ) that this'll give the 6th seed to g'hoo and that he'll play Farmer Bernie next week.

Wow I suck at rule making.

This is the way it is written, H2H is the second deciding factor for the wildcard, but with uneven amount of games played it really should be points. Fock, I suck.

Have to go with what's written, BUT, when you do head to head tiebreakers among 3 teams, i've always done it to eliminate one team first and then repeat until left with one.

In this way you'd eliminate Scooby and be left with Hoo and Corner.

Since Corner beat hoo, he'd be in.

Here I was bitching at someone on the main board about not having their rules in place for tiebreakers before the season and yet mine here were woefully insufficient. :disappointed:

Corner is in, and obviously I have some rule fixing to do.

1st = wilzone

2nd = whoisjgalt

3rd = farmer bernie

4th = ob1

5th = emoney

6th = Cornerback

Doesn't the rule say that if head-to-head doesn't decide it, then it goes to points?

Since there's an uneven number of games played between the three and since Hoo beat Scooby, Scooby beat Cornerback, and Cornerback beat Hoo, I don't see how head-to-head can be the deciding factor.

It has to be points, in my opinion. I think everyone can live with letting in whoever had the most points.

Concerning the rules to be fixed:

We can change them now "for the good of the league".

If by chance I am in the playoff and won, that would be an tainted championship. Possibly offending some players also.

I prefer getting the best teams in the playoffs ... even if it knocks me out. I've had a good second half run at the playoffs and can be content with that.

I fully support any decision that is made.

So we have a post from galt with hoo in, a post form me with corner in, and a post by wilzone with Scooby in.

:lol:

Good focking thing this isn't for $$. :wall:

Corner, I commend you on being a stand up guy. I agree with Wilzone that the spirit of the rule means that if head to head can't decide it it should go to the points winner (scooby).

I hereby decree that Scooby takes the 6th seed, and that I am one piss poor FFtoday commish!

Congratulations Scooby ... well deserved.

Also, OB1 I think you are the best Commissioner in FF. You were ready to stand by the letter of the rules even if the spirit of the rule was in question. For that I commend you Sir. That was a tough spot.

Then you pay for the league when windycity fell through. Not to even mention drafting most of my team from e-mail lists. Thank You for that again.

Also major props to whoisjgalt for all he does. :thumbsdown:

CMT does well being listed as moderator of the forum. :mad:

I meant by record in both cases. Yeah - your points scored was waaaaay too high to be missing the playoffs. You'll be scary next year especially if Ricky gets a starting gig somewhere else.

It's a three-way head-to-head. You beat Scooby, Scooby beat cornerback, and cornerback beat you.
