Law banning female genital mutilation ruled unconstitutional

Recommended Posts

It's a shame women don't come with two detachable clits.

Then you'd have something to plug your ears with while you're fuucking them.

Wth is wrong with people... no matter what religion you are.

You're comparing other religions practices to this primitive brutality?

You obviously have no idea what goes on at a Lutheran casserole dinner.

Yes, murder is a state crime. The punishments may differ, but it isn't like I can go to the next state over to murder someone in my state. I'm a little concerned that whackjob states like CA and NY might not get around to, you know, making it illegal. Guess we'll see. :dunno:

They won't. Islam must be well protected for some reason.

Funny we don't see any #metoo outrage here.

Its amazing the lack of an outcry about this. They are literally taking a little girls feminine body part. To them being called racist is that bad. It's a weakness that is being exploited and it will only get worse. Where is. Rosie when you need her?

I wonder where the good doctor is to tell us this is a-okay?

I bet you $10,000 the talking point ends up being "well, only something like .1% of all Muslims actually do this. We shouldn't paint with such a broad brush!"

Then it's a quick pivot to bizarre churches that handle rattlesnakes and claim

to be Christian, Etc.

But ultimately, it'll be the feminists going straight for the foreskin. You can actually see this happening. "Well why is it millions of little boys are mutilated every single day strictly for appearance sake!? That is the much bigger story!"

....cue the debate about tangental and debatable health benefits of circumcision and... We are no longer talking about Muslims and FGM.

Absolutely nobody is saying this is ok. They are saying the federal government does not have the power to forbid it. The states, however, do.

So if this is legal in your state, blame the legislature.

I for one am all for the federal government being stripped of much of the power they have unlawfully assumed.

Im completely fine with the federal government making genital mutalations illegal when states like NY and CA cant be trusted. This isnt a state rights issue at all.

So which of the enumerated powers give the feds the right to ban this?

Sure it is.

All powers not specifically enumerated to the federal government are reserved to the states.

The feds have seized so much power over the years with flimsy commerce clause bullsh!t. It's long past time they got checked.

(I hazard to guess any doctor who performs such a procedure would have major problems. Any non doctor would face even more, under any state law.)

I don't know all the laws on the books, but I have to believe there is something that prevents mutilation of another human being without their consent.

I didn't know much about this, but it sounds horrific.

Though it appears it almost never happens in the US, states or the feds can outlaw it as far as I'm concerned.

Sewing up the 'gina is probably the only surefire way to keep Geeks from being that uncle. And with kneelers ruining football, how else are you supposed to pass the time?

This is the place to make the stand against fed overreach? Mutilating girls? Man, I knew some libtard would come along to spin this, just didn't think it would be a States right thing, or you. Pick your battles. Ever hear of it ?

I really shouldn't rise to the bait, but;

I don't think anybody's for FGM. But there has to be an applicable law that the feds can purport to be upholding or enforcing.

That is why, for example, there's no federal law against isolated, local child abuse. However, if you take a child from Texas to Oklahoma and spank the out of him, then the feds can reach in and say that you move that child in interstate commerce for the furtherance of violence against children.

That's why there are no federal laws against graffiti. But, spray your banksy on a train that cross state lines and the FEDS can bust your ass. It's all just a matter of giving the feds some basis however thin to step in.

Yep. And when AZ outlaws FGM and CA doesn't, and somebody takes their kid from AZ to CA to get it done, in come the feds.

Didn't some of these children come from other states to have their cut up?

Still don't.

Actually I learned a lot. Did you know 1. FGM isn't explicitly a part of any religion. 2. There are four types - infibulation seems the most extreme. 3. It's also known as female genital cutting. 4. It's primarily practiced in 29 countries, and the majority of citizens in most of them think it should no longer be practiced.?

People mutilate kids these days here in the US thinking they weren't born the sex that they want them to be. So give them drugs to change them before they even discover who they are. The left encourages it. Of course they want a minority of people to cut up their girl's privates. More votes in the end.

Yep, the genital cutting demographic is critical in 2020.

That depends, let's wait to see how this works out politically, people with gender dysphoria makes up a tiny % of the US population, but seem to have a level of political clout far beyond that footprint; I guess in the end, anything can happen. :dunno:

That's all that needs to be said. Your yada yada blabber isn't necessary and takes the eyes off the prize. Not in our country. This isn't Europe, and it never will be, no matter how much the cucks want it to be.
