This was the first nail in the coffin when the fine upstanding rock fan citizens of Chicago did Western Civilization and all of Planet Earth a favor by killing disco. In the spirit of CMH, I was a seven years old Detroit Tigers fan watching this live on TV. I'd not been aware of the greater significance of killing disco, no. I may have even liked the Bee Gees when I was seven. Anyway, at the time, I was just happy that the Tigers won the first game and were awarded the second game of the doubleheader by forfeit.
