dain11279 927 Posted July 21, 2017 Some people would pay for Bono's autograph, I'd pay to punch him in the face
fandandy 3,311 Posted July 21, 2017 Off the same album, Running to Stand Still. I used to play that on loop.
Old School 360 Posted July 21, 2017 What's the difference between Bono & God? God doesn't drive around Dublin thinking he's Bono.
rholio 339 Posted July 21, 2017 The only U2 song I liked, Johnny Cash was singing.

wiffleball 4,639 Posted July 22, 2017 you know, after the West ease their restrictions on travel, U2 try to arrange a concert there. ... but the Cubans shot it down.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted July 22, 2017 I cried the first time I heard "one". U2 is like many great bands. They stayed around way too long. Back in the day? They were great. "One" and "with or without you" easily make my top 100 songs of all time list. If they had died in a fiery plane crash in like 1993 or so, they'd be legends. But they've been watering it down for decades now.

They and Greenday played it on the opening night of the 2006 reoping of the Super Dome after Katrina for the Saints/Falcons Monday night game. One of the coolest moments of my life. A once in a lifetime event made that much better because of them.

fandandy 3,311 Posted July 22, 2017 Cubans, shot down U2... Hello? Sigh....k We got it. Had you ended with a Badumbum Tssss, maybe a pity like, but for so few words it just took too long to get there, and once there I think we all realized this is not a place I wanna be. Keep your chin up though.

Big Blue 06 195 Posted July 22, 2017 I'm that way with Rattle and Hum. Agree with both. I actually add Achtung Baby to that list and one of their later albums was good (can't remember the name, but it had Walk On on it).
