Remember that response from the FBI regarding the Gowdy/Nunes Memo?

Turns out that response was written by none other than FBI Asst. Director Michael Kortan, the head of the FBI Public Affairs Office. He was referred to in the Strzok/Page texts (Mike) and FBI Director Christopher Wray fired him the following week after writing the FBI's response to the release of the Gowdy/Nunes memo.

The clown show continues. What does that bring the body count up to? 15 or so?

Turns out the FBI's 'grave concerns' response regarding the release of the Nunes/Gowdy memo was unauthorized and hence the reason Kortan was sh!tcanned.

Apparently the civil war within the FBI is still raging and some swamp creatures aren't going quietly.

Post the letter, it's signed by Stephen Boyd, a Trump appointee.

Carl Ichan who serves as a "special adviser" to Trump seems to have dumped millions of dollars of stock in a company heavily dependent on steel just days before Trump announced plans to impose steep tariffs on steel imports...

If he did wrong, I hope he gets nailed by the SEC. Also proves that Trump will do the right thing by the U.S. despite the investments of his "special advisers".

The right thing by the US?

Conservatives supporting tarrifs now which his basically a tax increase on US consumers? Despite a large number of economists (and Id bet it would be a large majority) being against it?

Some facts you left out............

Prior to joining Ford, Mr. Biegun served as national security advisor to Senate Majority Leader, Senator Bill Frist, M.D. In this capacity, he provided analysis and strategic planning for the Senate's consideration of foreign policy, defense and intelligence matters, and international trade agreements.

Before joining the staff of the Majority Leader, Mr. Biegun worked in the White House from 2001-2003 as Executive Secretary of the National Security Council. He served as a senior staff member to the National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice, and performed the function of chief operating officer for the National Security Council.

Prior to joining the White House staff, Mr. Biegun served for 14 years as a foreign policy advisor to members of both the House of Representatives and the United States Senate. During this time, he also held the position of Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations from 1999-2000 and was the Committee's senior professional staff member for European affairs from 1994-1998. In addition, Mr. Biegun served as a staff member of the United States House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs for six years. In this role, he was responsible for the foreign assistance budget, trade policy, and European affairs.

Seems like a very solid pick but I guess you'd rather do as Obama did and task someone less skilled but with a certain diverse look about them.

Probably doesn't meet some diversity quota.

There's apparently something going on with their response as it wasn't on their website. You have a link to their response?

Mixed reaction among economists, with the possibilty of spurring an industry. There is also the reality that China has huge surpluses of Steel, and the assumption is they'll pay the tariff just to keep unloading it. In other words, no "tax", just more payoffs into the government to generate revenue.

Mixed? Seems more against than for.

How much steel from China do we import (hint...its not much).

And yes...tarrifs equal tax...who do you think pays the tarrif? The consumer.

That's from the DOJ and while it was signed by Boyd, it doesn't mention grave concerns.

https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/fbi-statement-on-hpsci-memo

Here's the FBI website statement. It's not signed by anyone and it seems to make sense that it was Kortan that penned it.

The Obama Justice Dept?

Yes, and it was said about Hillary Clinton.

The Nunes memo has Top Secret written in all caps across the bottom of it. It's almost as if it's an independent department speaking to the same issue across two different administrations in the exact same way.

Trump may be hiring Bill Clinton's impeachment lawyer. He's at Williams & Connolly, partners with David Kendall, Hillary's lawyer.

Just to recap:

Obama admin sold uranium to Russia, funneled millions through the Clinton Foundation, paid bill directly $500k for a "speech".

Hillary and DNC paid a foreign agent to collect unverified Russian intelligence to use against a political opponent and obtain an illegal FISA warrant to spy on said opponent.

Trump wrote a letter to Putin inviting him to a Miss Universe contest years before the election.

A small time Trump campaign staffer gave a commencement speech in Russia.

An even smaller time Trump campaign staffer said in a bar one time that Russia had dirt on Hillary. The person who "turned him in" to the FBI was a $25 million dollar Clinton donor.

Trump Jr met with a Russian lawyer who was paid by the firm hired by Hillary and DNC for 15 minutes.

Trump banged a Russian model at some point in his life.

Muh collusion!

Left omg Trump is getting impeached

Right you are a bunch of idiots, there is nothing here

Eh, disagree on the first, agree that this report by itself doesn't mean he will be impeached. Point is that it's yet another Trump-Clinton connection. Of course Trump is working with David Kendall's partner.

Your first line is correct...only you are aiming it at the wrong people. You all thinking this is all something that sinks Hillary and Obama have been reaching bad.

The rest of your post is your same trolling BS.

Yeah, you saying it's a lie doesn't actually make it a lie. We know this is your go-to response for truths that hit home.

The only one that's been proven a liar around here is you. HTH.

You have to love how a lemming like slonuff and slonuff 2.0 (saints) operate. They will make a claim that HRC and BHO didn't sell uranium to the Russians. Meanwhile baked into the deal was that third parties will be involved so there is no direct link and HRC and jungleboy could claim plausible deniability. And the democratic acolytes eat it up an regurgitate it ad nauseum. How naive or willfully ignorant can you possible be?
