6 points for all touchdowns PPR league Where do you rank Quarterbacks?

Recommended Posts

Its hard to find rankings for this scoring system. How much do you boost the quarterbacks? Peyton scored an extra 100 points off touchdowns last year.

Its so hard to answer these with any real accuracy. It comes down to value in the draft. Peyton wasnt being drafted in the first or second round of most drafts. You got the best qb if you picked him in the third round.

I am in a 6 pt all td league and those teams with a stud qb do have an advantage. Its usually the team that hits on their first round pick and then is able to get a good qb later on.

I believe you never need to draft a qb in the first round after doing so myself a few times.

In most cases, it's not a matter of who scores the most overall in a given league, it's who scores the most relative to other players at their position. You don't need to draft Peyton or Rodgers #1 overall to be the best. If those two score an average per game of say 20.0 and the #7 guy you drafted in the 4th round scores an average of say 17, you "lose" 3 ppg. Ok, BUT if you took a RB, for example, in the first and he scores and average of 16 ppg and the guy you would have taken in the 4th after having taken a QB first scores 12....you "win" by going RB first (33 ppg) compared to QB first (32 ppg).

It is always about relative value.

So many times I see drafters race out to get a QB because they score so much. I just keep picking up RBs and WRs. You can, most often, get even the 10th rated QB and he's only "projected" a little behind the top guys. The drop for RBs is pretty huge once you get out of the top 10 and goes done faster and faster. WRs have more depth, but the truly "reliable" ones go fast too.

You can wait on QBs. There is more supply than demand. Not so with the other positions.

Now, if you play in a 2-QB league like me, all bets are off!!

This question is one reason why i love being in leagues that do live drafts . I like to see what others are doing and what they are taking and value my next pick based on what they have done and what they might do next . But only with the qb postion do i do that with .

I'm in a league with this scoring and ppr. Last year I had best record, most points, and won the championship. QBs I drafted were Romo and Vick and I picked up Foles.

in very general terms, the high volume passing qb's get a boost relative to the running qb's, and all qb's get a bump relative to other positions.

i know rotoviz has a qb app that will give projections for either 4 or 6 pt td scoring. not sure of any other sites but i'm sure they're out there.

one thing you could do here at ff today, is create a custom league scoring system, and then open two browser tabs; show the 2013 scoring stats in one tab for 4pt td, and in the other with your custom 6pt scoring. that'd give you a side by side of how the overall and p/game scoring for qb's changed.
