Playing without one position.....Which one?

Recommended Posts

16 team league and we only have two bench spots. This week I have 3 on bye so I am either forced to drop an OK player (Baldwin, J Graham) and pick up a one week replacement or play without a TE (J Reed), DEF, or Kicker?

I am leaning towards no defense since the best ranked on the waiver wire is Carolina. I currently have J Reed as my TE and Lutz as my Kicker.

So....would you not play with a kicker, TE, or Def?

Thanks

Depends on your scoring system.

PPR, or non-PPR? Do kickers get distance bonuses, or penalties or misses? Are special teams lumped in with defenses?

Check to see what your FA options are averaging, and that'll give you your answer.

But I'd considering dropping Reed. With only 2 bench spots, he can't be scoring much more than your other options.

I have Lutz as my kicker so I hope he is good for say 10 pts (1pt XP, 3pt FG, 4pt 40 yds + and 5pt 50 yds plus).

Wash defense vs Dallas is the highest projected Def on WW at 7.50pts.

I picked up Reed as a potential TE replacement with Graham on bye. If he scores a TD with say 50 yds then that is 11 pts or he can lay an egg at get 30 yds and 3pts.

I think I will roll with Reed and hope for some upside.

I would roll without Reed. Look at his game log, that offense is very conservative and Dallas D has been decent I believe?
