weepaws 2,450 Posted March 1, 2017 I'm ok with that, I don't play baseball for Richmond so it doesn't concern me. Not to sure what this news flash has to do with ff but hey it's your call.
TBayXXXVII 2,104 Posted March 6, 2017 Since this is the slow period... I see nothing wrong with the suspensions. The rules are in place. The students either ignored the rule or never confirmed their actions. As much as people want to say that fantasy football is a skill, common perception is that it's gambling. The students are at fault and are subject to be penalized, simple.
giraldi02 470 Posted March 6, 2017 I'd guess off first bat that they were playing DFS, otherwise it's difficult to prove money was being exchanged over a free host site. Unless they got a snitch in their league. Probably the dude that finished in last.
Ray_T 587 Posted March 6, 2017 I wanna know how the college found out they were playing fantasy football. what this does not specify is if this is the fantasy football we generally play or if it is the weekly fantasy football which is more similar to betting a sports book in vegas. I also find it odd that the college would be able to find out.

My guess is that the kids didn't realize they were breaking any rules and probably mentioned it to someone, possibly even have been over heard.
