TennisMenace 156 Posted September 20, 2017 How do you guys feel about that? I know it is not good when they are on a bye, but other than that disadvantage, what else? Advantages?
murf74 461 Posted September 20, 2017 I just did it today. Had fitz picked up JJ I may try to trade the big name away.

weepaws 2,457 Posted September 20, 2017 I've only done it once. I had from the Niners J Rice and J Taylor. It was good times.
Brutal Brutus 182 Posted September 20, 2017 It may cap your upside, but if they're your two best options, then it's your best option. I wouldn't actively seek it out, but in the right offense with the right duo, it should be fine.
LunaTick 29 Posted September 20, 2017 I have done it in years past. Is dependent upon the talent and the roster. The concern will be, what happens if the QB goes down. Or what happens if they are just shut out that week. Counter to that is, start your best lineup versus your safest line up. Challenge will be, identifying how to rank them, and sit them in situational times. Often one WR will be a possession WR and the other stretches the field. I tend to start the possession wr myself. But is always dependent upon the talent. Have fun
bandrus1 413 Posted September 20, 2017 I have d Thomas and e Sanders and hate it but I can't get equal value back on either so starting both it is
jackjohn 31 Posted September 21, 2017 I have Tyrell Williams and Hunter Henry. Trying to package Williams and Abdullah for a tier 2 wr. Nothing so far, so when Allen goes down, I'm golden
the spanker 28 Posted September 21, 2017 I just did it today. Had fitz picked up JJ I may try to trade the big name away. Same here. But I have no intention to trade Fitz.
TennisMenace 156 Posted September 21, 2017 Same here. But I have no intention to trade Fitz. Unfortunately, John Brown will return and this will affect JJ, and then Fitz rises back up. Weird....
montana 89 Posted September 21, 2017 I've done it but it's been a long time. Carter/Reed Carter/Moss Moore/Morton
Mr Neil 63 Posted September 21, 2017 Tyrell and Keenan Allen is a must have. That's the only combo. That or Roddy and Julio in his rookie year

Law 220 Posted September 21, 2017 Not a fan. A down day or facing a tough D and it's too bad from one game. I was just offered a trade of Pryor/Crowder/Crowell for MThomas/Henry/Coleman and I said no. Mostly because I believe in Thomas and that Henry and Coleman can be top 5 guys with an injury, but also partly because I don't like two guys from the same team....unless it's Cooper and Crabtree! the spanker 28 Posted September 21, 2017 Unfortunately, John Brown will return and this will affect JJ, and then Fitz rises back up. Weird.... Even when JB returns, can this dude stay healthy? He's dealing with the sickle cell issue and for all we know, if JJ continues to ball, he could lock the job down.
himmystyles 29 Posted September 21, 2017 Jimmy Smith / Keenan McCardell? Unreal.
Gepetto 982 Posted September 21, 2017 Reggie Wayne / Marvin Harrison were better as a pair on a game by game basis then similar 2 receivers in the same years on different teams some study showed.
Smileseers 54 Posted September 21, 2017 You are capping the ceiling on your WR production for a given week, and hedging your bet. Rarely do both have an outstanding day. There are no Rice/Taylor, Moss/Carter, Wayne/Marvin combo's in the game today. Basically you are handcuffing the WR2 on a good offense. Offensive overall production typically goes down if the WR1 is out, and the WR2 now faces the #1 corner. Bad plan. Expecting two WRs from the same team to get you a win weeks 14, 15, 16 is a bad plan.
polecatt 401 Posted September 21, 2017 Only in extremely rare occasions would I do this It has to be a top notch offense for the ages with a great QB In a PPR league it's a little more feasible but still not a good idea
