What is your beer of choice? ( doesn't have to be your favorite, but what beer do you drink the most at home?)

How much does it run you?

How much beer do you drink in a week?

How much does it run you a week?

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

Miller High Life Light

How much does it run you?

$13.99 per 30 pack

How much beer do you drink in a week?

Usually 1-1/2 30 packs a week.

How much does it run you a week?

I guess about $30

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

I get drunk all the time, usually because I supplement my extremely light beer with a premium cheap Vodka (like Kamchatka).

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

If you ask me, "premium beer drinkers" are homos. That's why you can only get them in 6 packs. Only homos buy 6 packs.

Beer is meant to be consumed in high quantities while you're watching TV, or mowing the lawn, or fixing the car. And also internet forum posting.

What is your beer of choice? ( doesn't have to be your favorite, but what beer do you drink the most at home?)

Killians Irish Red, although i only get a 12 pack of those maybe once a week, i like microbrews.

How much does it run you?

11.00 a 12 pack

How much beer do you drink in a week?

30-45 beers a week

How much does it run you a week?

35-50 dollars a week

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

I hardly ever drink above 6-8 beers, but i get buzzed quite a bit. I only drink the dark beers once or twice a week, but i drink 4-6 beers most every day

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

I have no problem drinking a 6 pack of microbrews

I just can't drink more than 2 or 3 heavy beers at a time, especially when I am eating or just got done eating. It fills me up quick and just doesn't sit well. I couldn't imagine making a night of drinking out of it. I do like to try different ones once in a while and do like them. Can't stand them on a hot day.

For me...

Beer of choice- Miller Lite. But I mix it up quite a bit.

Cost- Around 17-18 dollars a 30 pack.

I'd say i go through 30-50 beers a week, depending on occasions.

I get drunk on the weekends.

I'd expect this to change as I get older. I'm only 22.

What is your beer of choice? ( doesn't have to be your favorite, but what beer do you drink the most at home?)

usually have franziskaner dunkel (16.9 oz) and either franziskaner or paulaner hefe (either 12 oz or 16.9 oz)

How much does it run you?

used to be $1.60 per 16.9 it's now around $2. 6 packs of the hefes are about $7-8.

How much beer do you drink in a week?

depends on the week, but prob about 7-12 12 oz. + or -

i usually buy with the mindset that i am not pressed to drink them that night... i always like having it in there

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

while i have a bier once in a after work, i rarely get drunk... not all dark bier is thick, but a lot of the biers that have been discussed have higher alcohol levels

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

yes..... we like the taste of these biers. it is a blast to experience biers (styles) from around the world that have a lot of unique flavors due to regional ingredients.... if i am going out to catch a buzz, unless i know i'll be sitting there trying a lot of bier, it isn't the drink of choice

What is your beer of choice? ( doesn't have to be your favorite, but what beer do you drink the most at home?)

Whatever is on tap - Stoudt's DIPA and Yuengling right now. I try to cycle the beer with something new each time.

How much does it run you?

I get kegs at cost  Stoudts was still ~$200 and Yuengling was a gift from PA relatives.

How much beer do you drink in a week?

Maybe 2-3 pints during the week (total) - much more on the weekend.

How much does it run you a week?

Depends on how long the kegs last...

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

No...when drinking something heavy, I usually only have 2 or 3.

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

I can't chug heavy beer (not all dark beer is heavy)...I can't have more than 2 or 3 and I do treat them more like a wine than a high life. Having a "new" beer is awesome, even if the beer itself turns out to be not that "good". "Good" being my opinion...

We'll use last weekend as an example - started off with 4-5 bombers of quality beers (Begian, Stout, Triple all probably between 9-12%ABV) split between 3-4 of us, so that's maybe 2 pints of beer total. Then 2-3 pints of the Stoudts (10%ABV). Then I migrated to Yuengling...

1. Just to have around on the cheap...Miller High Life Light. I like it and the price is right for an every day brew. I switch up with other brews to get from time to time.

2. Its pretty damn cheap.

3. Since the 4 month old came along...maybe 3. If the weather is nice and I am grilling more...this number will go up.

4. Not much right now.

5. Not often...but if I get drunk its usually on bourbon.

6. I like quality beer when I just want 1 or 2 and feel like getting some. No, beer is not like sipping fine wine. If Im going out and not trying to get tanked...I will drink the darker thicker beers because I know I will not drink as many of them.

For those who like or have had many of Sam Adams beers.....how many styles have you had?, which are your favorites? Which did you not like...

I've only had the Cherry Wheat and Black Lager. I thought both were decent, but not great. I would have to try more to get a true sense of Sam Adams beers.

Usually like 10 bucks for a 12 pack

How much beer do you drink in a week?

A lot

How much does it run you a week?

Not much cause I don't normally drink at home. I just go to the bar I work at.

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

The better question would be is "Are you sober during the week?"

I drink Busch Light quite often at home.

$13 a case

about a case, unless it's a camping weekend. then I probably go through 2-3 cases that week.

Depends on if it's a camping weekend. Also, I like whisky/scotch & water. I go through that as well. I'd say I probably spend $50-$75 a week on average on booze

Not really, I usually have a couple beers or a couple drinks, maybe 6 or more a once a week. On a camping weekend I drink all day.

I enjoy a darker beer, but usually don't have more than a couple when I do.

Newcastle

Stella Artois

Yuengling Lager

Any Oktoberfest beer

How much does it run you?

If I have to pay more than $1 per bottle, I think twice.

How much beer do you drink in a week?

1-2 during the weekdays, and maybe 10-20 on a happy hour fun type weekend

How much does it run you a week?

$20 max for just myself, but i never drink alone

Do you get drunk at all during the week? If so how do you have room in your stomach for all of these dark thick beers?

I find the light over-carbonated beers wreak more havoc on my stomach than the darker beers. If I am drinking more than 3 straight days, I go to Guinness because of the lack of CO2 and the hydrogen system. I was able to drink for 30 straight days in IRL when drinking Guinness.

Basically with all of the "quality beer" freaks here, is your beer drinking like sipping fine wine? Do you have 1 or 2 of these beers a night? How can you make a night of drinking out of dark chocolet/almond/coffee/ tabacco tasting beers?

There is no such thing as a sipping beer. 2-3 beers per hour is a reasonable pace for a social night.

A single night of Bud Light, Coors Light, or Miller light will wreak havoc on my system. The older I get, the worse these beers seem to affect me.

My normal beer of choice is Newcastle. Runs about $13.99 for a 12-pack. I'm usually good for 3-5 of these babies per week, moreso on weekends than during the week.

Occasionally I'll go with a Corona, but that's kind of a breakfast beer, or if you prefer, lemonade for adults.

The only think that makes me sheot more than Bud is adding a citrus fruit to my crapass light beer.

Chick dig it thought...the light fruity beer that is.

I know I'll take heat for it but it's a low-carb beer. Taste a lot like Bud Light but with zero after-taste. Just incredibly smooth. Get it out of a bottle though. So much better then the can.

Anyone know roughly what the Alcohol Content is of the Sam Adams beers. I can't find it on the interweb. I figure the Light is like a regular light beer at 4-5% And the Boston Lager is like a 5-6% but what are the rest? Anyone know? Just curious?

FWIW: My new summer fave is Linenkugle's Summer Shandy.

I'm generally not a fan of 'that kind of thing', but this is a seriously tasty beer - especially for the summer.

Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale

I am not much of a beer drinker but this brew does the trick. Usually have 2. Sometimes 3. Maybe 4. Then bed spins. It is a great, great beer if you don't drink a lot at one time.

Maybe buy a six pack every other week. Cost is 12 per.

ABV is 7.5%. I have tried some of their other offerings that have a higher ABV content but it is just too much. This one is just right. As for buzz, I pretty much catch one every time I drink this especially if I don't have much in my stomach.

I drunk is a relative term, but I rarely catch a buzz (1-2 per month), let alone much more than that.

Cheap Vodka . Just learned that the Costco brand vodka (Kirklands) is $16.99 for the big bottle and it's basically the same as Grey Goose. You should check that out. Great deal. Their Kirkland wine selection is cheap and comparable to mid range wines also.

I don't drink beer much but when I do it is usually the darker and/or higher alcohol beers because I find their taste more complex and interesting. There is a place less than a mile from my office called the Phoenix Ale Brewery where I've gone with work folks a few times:

http://www.phoenixbrew.com/

Their Imperial Porter and Imperial Hefe are awesome. They also have an imperial stout called Inebriator (not on website) which is fantastic but very dangerous due to its 10%-ish alcohol. The owner founded and sold Pyramid Brewery in Seattle, then decided to move somewhere sunny. :)

On the lighter side, I was at a pool party at a resort last weekend where it was 115 degrees, so I was looking for something lighter. They had something called Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale:

http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/31442/156288/

It was really tasty and perfect for a hot day.
