It's hotter than hell out there

Recommended Posts

Just turned off the a/c and opened the windows thinking the normal cool breeze will be blowing through my abobe, but hell no. It's 77 out there! So now I have to re-cool my place down with the a/c.

But you're acclimated being an AZ'ian, no? I can't imagine myself but bro who lives in Hollyweird says you get used to the heat. Dunno. OM? Maybe it's more a chic thing that the heat just plain and simply SUX!

We're usually only a few degrees warmer than where you are, no? I definitely wouldn't put Southern Cali in the same category as AZ.

Yeah AZ is worse than S. CA. S. CA has been up to 20 degrees warmer than us in the past according to bro. I'm in the Bay Area. SF itself is the place to be as they were 66 today. A big 30 degree difference between there and just south of SF. yeeikes! PGE will love me now. :/

True. We are expecting 105 to 109 the next five days; prior to that it was 115-ish. You can definitely tell a difference. But 105 this time of year is totally bearable if you live here.

Made the mistake of going to Vegas a couple years ago in July. For 5 days we were there it never got below 80 at night. In WA state it's been really warm for mom and friends. It's in the 80s and they are acting like it's a 100. I used to live there so I know if it's 80 it feels like 70 because the sun isn't as strong up there.

Yeah... it was almost 100 here today. We usually stay in the low to mid 90's (in the summer) with a few days above that. It's still too hot for my preferences. It seems as I get older, the more I hate the heat.

It means we aren't quite at meno yet. Hormones start changing long before you get there, and wonderful symptoms like hot flashes and such can appear way before then.

I could never live there. I don't care how dry the heat is, 110+ is just unbearable.

Here in Philly the 90s are typical during the dog days of summer but it rarely hits triple digits. And it's a good thing too because it's steamy - maybe only 5 degrees warmer than NYC but we're in a valley between two rivers and the humidity is noticeable.

I'd live somewhere it never gets hotter than 80 or colder than 50 if I could.

My dad lives near San Diego. Absolutely perfect weather there. Sometimes it gets in the 90s in the summer but otherwise between 75-80 and nice and cool at night. Can't go wrong

I think this was the hottest June I can rememer in Raleigh. 90's everday, normally upper 90's with at least a half dozen days that hit 100+. And muggy / humid as hell. Rainforest hot. It will get like that for stretches during the dog days of Summer but that is usually late July and early August.

My lush and beautiful lawn is already starting to get crunchy and it is just July 1st.

I'd be glad to send you some of our rain. It's rained every focking day for the past month or so it seems. It downpoured for 12 hours straight this past weekend. Never seen anything like it

Ugh. All we've been getting are these booming scattered afternoon thunderstorms with lightening and hail and stuff. It will downpour for like 15 minutes then that's it. Not enough rain for how hot it is on my lawn. :(

When i played in the WSOP in july we went out drinking after i busted out, then went to Drai's afterhours from 2-10... I remember walking out of the casino into the blazing hot strip and it must have been 100+ degrees and I was wearing jeans and a button down shirt. Insane heat.

Would never go to vegas during the summer.

The months not to go to Vegas are May thru Sept. My dad used to live there for 2 years so I did many trips to Vegas. He was fine up to 100 with the a/c then it became !@#$#@!. Now he's back to Irvine and thinks it's heaven down there.

He lived up here in Milpitas as the chief project engineer on the Bart expansion project from '12-'13. He kept his place heated at 75 degress year round, and was cold if it was any lower. You can bet I didn't stick around his place too long. Everyone's wearing tank tops and shorts here and there's good ole dad wearing long pants/shoes/socks/jacket. Oh the memories, and the fights over the a/c control in my place and in my car.

Just woke up from a long azz nap to see it's cloudy out while still very warm. Drops of water falling from the sky with thunder to the east. Still very warm out. I think CA moved to the southeast while I was asleep. Weirdorama.

So the remnants of hurricane dolores has created a sticky situation here in Bay Area CA. It's not only bloody hot, but it's friggin humid too!

It's 3:30 am. All my windows are open and fan is full on on me. I'm not much cooler now than 2 hours ago when I attempted to sleep. WTF? And two more days of this?? I never turn on my a/c overnight but I just may have to now..

And super historic July rainfall in CA my azz. Saw a few drops of rainfall earlier in the month in the Bay Area, so please nix saying CA as in the entire state because we only received oh about .01 in of it here.

Rented a house on LBI, sign on the AC unit says don't turn below 72 or the unit will freeze. When set at 72 degrees, it was up to 84 in the freaking house. I'm jacked, paid over $6,000 for the week and I'm sweating my effing balls off INSIDE the house.

Pissed-off!

I really hate this time of year.

The next seven days are projected to be 99-100 degrees for a high with no rain or clouds in sight. I always have and always will take the freezing cold season over the hot weather season.

Can't wait till summer is over.
