The winner of the Tour Championship does very little for me....... My enjoyment form this event comes in the form of getting to see East Lake - and the home course of Bobby Jones.

Count me as loving it. I know the arguments against it. But wouldnt you be more excited if you knew that yesterday Tiger went from 10 back to 5 back of winning the entire Fed Ex Cup?

 

Its better TV for sure. The winner wins....instead of some guy trying to make a putt to finish in 14th place to ensure he finishes in 1st place.

Im not a big Fedex cup guy. I remember Haas winning because of the shot from the water...and I remember Rory winning with the dramatic 2 years ago. While I can name some other winners, I dont remember any of them.

 

But if Tiger wins the damned FedEx Cup this year....well, suddenly the narrative will change and you will see people talking about the FedEx Cup as an accomplishment on par with a major. Because Tigermania sells.
