NewbieJr 540 Posted March 3, 2014 This debate is similar to the Durant or Greg Oden debate before the draft that year. Like Oden, Woods hasn't won sh!t in years. Federer in a massive landslide. Not even close.

NewbieJr 540 Posted July 8, 2014 I think Federer's play in the Wimbledon took a lot of people by surprise. It's amazing the level he can still play at from time to time. I feel like Sunday may have been his last good chance to win a Slam event. I hope I'm wrong, But with Nadal, Djokavic, and Murray all being so good and so much younger, the odds are against him. edjr 5,563 Posted December 10, 2014 Way go to Tiger. When it's 1 on 1 you choke again. I still love you and you're my favorite golfer, but it's obvious Federer is better in his sport than you are in yours. Thanks for playing. for KSB This is the OP
KSB2424 3,083 Posted December 10, 2014 There's probably a reason this thread is so long. Golf and Tennis are just two totally different sports to try and compare too. One is a tournament the other you play against the field. On one hand tennis is more physically demanding but on the other it would seem to be much easier to win a tournamnet if you were the dominant player as you are only playing a small portion of the field. As of 2007, Roger had done what no one else ever has in his sport, Tiger, was on his way. Look now, today in 2014. This isn't even a question who dominated their sport more. edjr 5,563 Posted December 10, 2014 I made those points, they're just gonna hate tiger. I blame racism. yes in 2007. Fine. it's 2014 now and Tiger is a joke and Federer is still winning and making grand slam finals, long after most players play, let alone compete

This isn't even a question who dominated their sport more. Sort of like the MVP award I think you need to clairfy what you mean by "dominate". Are you saying that Roger Federer is the greatest of all time in his sport because he's won the most tournaments or "majors" or are you saying during his prime years he was the most dominate tennis player the sport has ever seen? As an example lets take Wilt Chamberlin versus Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Kareem holds most all the "career" records for centers, because he was so good for so long. But I'd argue Wilt was more dominate, in that he dominated his sport and postion more when he played.
