My score jumped up 7 points overnight

So, yesterday my team scored 133.2 points, and all my players were done, and my opponent had 103 points with Peyton and Addai still to go. At the end of the game, I was hanging on to a one point lead, freaking out! Luckily, I won, but a point... 133.2 - 132.2. Now this morning I check the scores, and I'm up 140 - 133. I know sometimes stats are corrected overnight, but 7 points??? Anyone know why? Here is who I started - let me know if anyone knows of these guys' stats changing yesterday: Favre, Jacobs, Bush, FWP, S. Holmes, H. Ward, Witten, Bironas, Packers D, M. Boley (IDP). I'm commish and I bet someone is going to have a conspiracy theory that I secretly added points to my score or something....

The Top 10 Signs You're Too Involved With FF!

LOL!! all this morning I have been actually "worried" that someone will call and tell me they have an extra Giants-Cowboys ticket.... I need to know if Bush and Henry are active or not!!!! hahahaha plus, the out of town scoreboard at Giants Stadium hardly works :-)

    Fantasy Football is 90% Luck

I don't believe that it is 90% luck, more like 50% luck. But that basically means that you can be the most prepared fantasy owner, then flip a coin to see if you will win or lose on any given week. Injuries - no one can predict. And when they happen to a stud, sometimes it affects everyone else on the team. Also, you never know when some average player will break a tackle and score an 80 yard TD... sometimes netting your opponent the 14 points he needs to beat you. And, it is virtually impossible to play any sort of defense in fantasy football. We've all had the experience of scoring the second most points in a week, only to be playing against the top scorer... meanwhile there is a 90-80 game somewhere... yup, a lot is luck. But that is also what makes it fun to play. Because when your team looks shitty... well sometimes they find a way to win!

Anyone think Santana Moss has anything left?

This might be his last week with my team. If he doesn't perform against the terrible Jets, then he is just done and completely sucks.

    Seahawk receivers this week

watch Nate Burleson go for 120 yds 2 TDs hahaha This is my strategy... I have 9 teams, and among those 9, I have Engram starting twice, Hackett starting once, and Burleson starting once. So I should get at least 3 TDs there. Let's hope Cleveland offense scores early and Alexander sucks.
  7. So I'm running my first money league this year. Things are going really well except for this one guy who has basically quit. He won't respond to any emails... last week I had to make moves for him just to field a complete lineup. It is a money league, and people are competing for playoff spots, and I can't have a guy in there each week who is a free win to whoever plays him. any advice?

Moss practicing with larger than usual football.

LOL 3x the size of a normal football... that would be like catching a 2 year old kid

    Travis Henry owners REJOICE!

I'm a Henry owner, and honestly, I was looking forward to not worrying about Shanahan's moves for the rest of the season. Now, more anxiety! This is my first season drafting a Denver RB... all other seasons I heard about how Shanahan was the worst coach for fantasy football. well, I figured, Henry is better than the RBs Denver had the last few years, no way Shanny will pull the same tricks. But, he does and he is. Damn him!!!

    Cleveland RB question

crap like this is why the board needs some moderators who actually work proactively. i have to read through 5 posts of people arguing about grammar and who has been on the board longest (should that have been a "whom?" ) and I just want to know about the Cleveland RB situation. Fantasy-wise, the Browns have the best playoff schedule of all NFL teams.

    Ronnie Brown - 2008 Season

Yup, I don't think he will be full form until midseason next year. That said, he will likely fall in the drafts and maybe you can scoop him up in the 5th or 6th round and just keep him on your bench. Don't keep him, unless you really have no one else.

Big Game for Travis Henry this week?

As I understand, his trial is Nov 5, and if he doesn't [insert legalese for "get out of trouble"] then this would be his last game of the season. Maybe Shanny will give him like 35 carries, not caring about his health! And hopefully some extra motivation for Henry. Last week I lost my game because Henry sat, so I was down one player, and Greg Jennings scored 18 points on one play (we have a performance scoring league).

    Cheap shots on Brady

Well, I don't think any of the Colts will take a cheap shot. Dungy is too classy to allow that. But as for the rest of the teams? You never know. I hope no one does it... if they can't get a clean hit on Brady, it is their fault for not beating his offensive line. Frankly, I think all cheap shot players should be suspended for a full year. Because those knee injuries are so hard to recover from.

    In season ties...

I don't think you're wrong man. Part of being commish is knowing when to be firm. There will be guys in your league who don't really care about the integrity of the rules, they just want to win this week. People like that create the need for a commish. :-)

Will the NFL ever create the "Marion Barber" rule?

Is it legal? Then I don't consider it a cheap shot. A cheap thing is calling timeout a second before the ball is snapped. That is cheap. Knocking someone around who is intent on taking you to the ground is just self defense.
