Small business idea for around the holidays

Recommended Posts

Thought about finding a Lexus dealership and setting up a stand for huge red bows at $500 a pop. I figure the kind of person whose going to buy their spouse a luxury vehicle for Christmas can afford a few hundred more to make it exactly like the commercials.

:dunno:

I always thought a good business idea would be a company called Light It Up. Buy a ton of outdoor Christmas lights, decorations, etc. and decorate peoples houses and remove it after the holidays. No more storing all that crap or spending countless hours unballing last years lights only to discover they no longer work, or up on a ladder nearly breaking your neck in the snow and ice putting up lights Call me and voila. I'll send out my messicans and for a fee, they'll do all that for you.

Same Idea I had long ago, but also with the Christmas Tree.

In & out, nobody gets hurt.

Yeah right. Next, you're gonna tell me that people pay other people to care for their lawns. Maybe call the businesses lawn care and that there are pages of such companies listed in the yellow pages.

Liar.

Back to the OP. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to sell 3-4 of these a week during the holidays if you are in the right area. I've never had a car or bought a car as a gift, but I am going to assume some of the higher end dealers have a stock of bows in the back just for these occasions. But if not:

bigredbowcompany.com is available. Get the website setup, get some stock and send some 1099ers out November-December every year.

Sexy female hookers dressed up in elf and Santa outfits at the mall? Little stress relief for fathers while out shopping for the wife and kids?

And their prices go down 10% for every $100 spent in the mall. Proof of purchase required.

"No dear, you stay home this year. Turn on your Gilmore Girls marathon, open a bottle of wine and put your feet up. I'll do the shopping. I see we have a long list, but allow me. Let's call it an early Christmas present for you."
