  1. Yeah, I was wrong with the absolute. And perhaps in this day of mostly CC purchases the CC itself receives the request instantly, and then there are the amorphous couple of days of "bank processing" as you mentioned. Honestly, most of my purchases these days are on Amazon and with the occasional return, they are good about doing it quickly. And when I return stuff bought online to other places, who knows how long it really took to get there and for them to process it? Anyway, I deleted my post as I'm probably living in the past. Now get off my lawn!
  2. And you find this fairy tale consistent with all of the "death to Israel" and "we want it all" chants? @Mark Davisis correct, although I would argue that the marxist "oppressed vs. oppressor" is what's primarily being used to program these student flesh bots, so it is hard to separate the two.
  3. Yeah... and to me the more egregious thing was keeping kids out of school. People like me said from day 1 that they were going to significantly impair their growth and development. "Nah," we were told, "kids are resilient." We had many such debates here. And now there is universal recognition of exactly that happening. But hey, they meant well, right?
  4. I don't think all liberalism, or conservatism, is evil either. The bad of conservatism is that it sometimes stops good progress. The bad of liberalism is that it sometimes pushes bad progress. The difference I tried to point out is that the bad in conservatism is easy to see: you are being mean by not allowing [xxx]. The bad in liberalism is less easy to see (hence "insidious") because it seems like you are just trying to be nice in all cases.

Thanks. I'd be OK with either and another first (plus maybe more) over a potentially slightly better receiver in Harrison. I feel pretty good about our GM Monti Ossenfort; I thought he ran a good draft last year, his first. And he certainly made deals, trading up then back down in the first IIRC. If he decides to stand pat and take Harrison, then they must have a really good feeling about him.

Yes, that's what they claim, that's why they are prosecuting. I began my post "FWIW," and presented what it appears their defense will be. The link you disparage, that I posted, said "they viewed themselves as contingent electors." That is their defense. It didn't argue that they were in fact contingent electors. But the other link about contingent electors laid out some historical precedence. And yes, The Epoch Times leans right. I have in general found their reporting to be fairly good, albeit with a right bent. BTW, the AP is not as objective as you think with your high and mighty link. https://www.allsides.com/news-source/associated-press-media-bias#:~:text=About Associated Press's Bias Rating,-Associated Press is&text=Associated Press is a news,Ratingâ„¢ of Lean Left.

I'll throw some shekels on it at that price. If you are wrong, of course you will be dead to me.

The posts on X look like a joke site to me. Presuming things stay to form and the top 3 are QBs, most people here want MH. I'm in the minority of trying to trade down a few spots and get Nabors or Odunze. I sorta lean Odunze, as he is bigger and more physical; I've heard comps to Larry Fitz because he is the best in the class at being thrown open and high-pointing the ball. Nabors could be the next Tyreek but the Cards have flailed miserably with scat backs and need a big X receiver. Which of course could be Harrison. I'm trying to psych myself up that it is good if we take him. If somehow he goes beforehand, they'll have leverage to trade for whichever of the 3 remaining QBs is there, I'd hope.

For what it's worth. Here is a link which talks more about "contingent electors" and their historical precedence: https://www.theepochtimes.com/article/pennsylvania-georgia-nevada-and-arizona-republican-electors-cast-votes-for-trump-3618147
  10. I think that, if they've managed to keep it to just students at places like Columbia and NYU (which is possible given fencing and security), the risk is light to slightly moderate. Keep in mind that these kids have been trained that as long as they support the right of the oppressed, our government and schools will give them a pretty long leash. And they've been spun up by TikTok and their 52X pro-Hamas videos vs. Israel. These kids think Palestinians have been just minding their own peaceful business since 1947 while Israel has been torturing as many as they can find. If however outsiders have gotten in... risk is high. I'm not sure how confident they can be about the security.
  11. True, I'm sure there are a lot of Antifa anarchists there to help cause some real trouble.
  12. Columbia does. Jewish professors too. But you probably know better.

  14. I've aligned myself on the side of protecting children who are going through normal childhood explorations, and who get caught up in the social contagion which is causing our medical lobbying groups (not necessarily doctors) to endorse unnecessary and destructive treatments which the rest of the civilized world, having led us into such an approach, has ,to a country, backed off those positions. I am on the right side of history. I think I've said this before, but someday you will look back on how wrong all of this is and think... oh well, I meant well, I was doing what the children wanted. This is the insidious evil of liberalism; it feels nice and good. Unfortunately, sometimes to do right, you have to do things that don't make people happy in the moment. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and you and your side are barreling down it like it is the Autobahn.

Trump hasn't been charged, boyo. Otherwise, good post, good effort about your feelz on the case. You know, for a guy who consults with the CEO on the regular, you sure spend a lot of time here.
