What is Jay Ajayi's value?

Recommended Posts

After lighting up the Pittsburgh defense for over 200 yards, how do you see Ajayi's future value? Especially with Foster expected back soon.

Fwiw: foster was active and even played a little here and there.

i am not familiar enough with the dolphins to say whether ajayi is the man now or not. but it would be weird if he is not.

This is what I'm having trouble figuring out. I'm in real bad shape at RB and could use my #1 waiver to get him back. I worry that they will go back to Foster or go rbbc. I really don't want to use this high of a waiver and waste it. You'd think the job would be his but who knows, especially with with it being the Dolphins.

it's definitely a head scratcher. from what i understand, the signing of foster in the offseason signaled that they were sold that ajayi was NOT their guy. then they don't even take him with them week 1. and now this.

you have got to think that he'll get a chance to be the starter now, but he might have a shorter leash than most

If you are in real bad shape at the running back position then yes jump at him if you have the #1 waiver spot. I personally don't think waiver's has much else to offer this week thus far anywhere else. I had the #1 waiver last year and sat on it, then David Johnson came along. That doesn't happen like that very often. I guess if your team is already sliding, go for it. Is a trade possible?

For me, it is the other way around. I have Ajayi (obviously I didn't start him, yesterday) and I'm trying to figure out if I want to hang on to him or if it is better to try and ship him off. to bolster the rest of my team.

My other RB's: Richard, Duke Johnson, T. West, and McCoy

WR: Evans, Robinson, Shepherd, T. Benjamin

TE: Reed, Clay, Ebron

QB: Cousins, Hoyer

Either I'm thinking I should move Ajayi for another RB or wide-out, or I could keep him as my flex and ship out Shepherd and Duke for a better receiver.

I'm not completely enamoured with your backs now that McCoy is being evaluated on his knee. I have a feeling they may take his work load down some.

I see no story about that and he came back in the game and dominated. I think its business as usual for him.

Don't know how to quote on iPhone, but yeah I'm leaning heavily on using my #1 waiver on him. Been holding it for a few weeks. Figure now is as good a time as any. If it don't work out then it don't work out. Been trying to do trades but no bites.

He had a fantastic game with a big run for a td to end the game.

That's how I value him today.

I'm not going to go pick him up , don't trust that Oline going forward.

Several players, mostly veterans, were benched this week by Head Gase. He let it be know that players not performing or hurt (at whatever severity) would not be tolerated. He was desperate to shake things up. It seems it worked this week.

The questions are do you believe Ajayi is the player who played Sunday or the one who played the previous season and a half and did nothing and are the Phins the team that played Sunday or the one that played the previous 5 weeks and generally was horrible?

I was on the Ajayi wagon during this past summer.

But he underperform so much that they brought in Foster.

Who then of course was Injuried.

I believe he had a very good game , but I don't trust this team or their Oline going forward.

I can't see them not using Foster once again when he's ready , so that's another reason I don't like the situation.

Even if Ajayi is the number one guy...he will not last the season with a week to week work load like he just had. His knee will not hold up.

He's red hot right now. If you need RB help and can pick him up it's probably a good idea.

You see what he can do any given week. It would be odd if the Dolphins don't give him the main job.

What this means week to week is yet to be seen and if he flounders you can get rid of him.

If he is going to break out then this is his break out game.

He's worth taking a shot on.

I'm not putting much stock in this one game. His last td run was garbage time. That won't happen too, often with the Dolphins. The bottom line for me is this- I don't trust any Dolphin player period.

I would say foster has injury issues, they will brake foster in next week but with the workload ajayi has had I don't see a player coming off injury having that kind of workload so I would say at least it will be a split load during the next 2/3 weeks,

in that time it will be a fight the extra snaps and should go to who ever plays best. (having said that they brought foster in to play but performance goes top.)

but either way they will not have forster playing every down as his body cant handle it

while i tend to agree with most that i wouldn't expect too much from just one game - everyone thinks he'll at least get the opportunity to be the #1 now, right?

i have him in dynasty and am holding. maybe i need to be trying to trade him?

His value for now is GREAT! Last week, it was meh.. the week before, meh-sorta, with the TD mixed in.. This week when he rattles off 6-22, he'll be back on the scrap heap.. then Foster will trip over a rogue leaf walking to the huddle at practice..

Twilight Zone, NFL.

Every once in a while a RB in Miami will have a huge game. Then the team goes back to throwing the ball. This is what I think will happen here.

I'd use a waiver if he was available, but long been drafted in my 12-man league.

As a Dolphin fan (and A Foster owner), clearly he's worth a waiver. But my prediction would be pure RBBC the rest of the year. I wasted a 6th round pick on Foster. The Dolphins are going to use everything he's got while healthy (which ain't much) and use Ajayi now that he's proven himself, along with their other RBs.,

In the end, it's crap for everyone.

Here, I'll use it for you! I got the #1 wavier and I'm spending it on him tonight.

Grab him he is talented explosive and was under utilized even tho he was averaging +4YPC. The Oline had all projected starters for the first time all season and you see what happened. I have been high on him since last season and drafted him in 3 leagues this year so I am all aboard.

So I grabbed Ajayi as I am nervous on James White with DLewis looming. I now have to drop someone to pickup a kicker for the week. I am thinking about dropping Sheperd in my 12 Team PPR. His last 3 games have been awful.

QBs Rivers, Ttaylor

RBs DJohnson, Jamaal Charles, SWare, CMichael, JWhite, JAjayi

WRs RCobb, MWallace, Enunwa, Sheperd, CMeredith, TWilliams

Sigh.. still can't believe I lost KAllen so early.

Who should I drop for a kicker? Help?

This is NOT the same back we saw for the first year and half of his career. Not sure what turned on the lights, but he's different now.

Question is does he turn back into a pumpkin or keep it going?
