Tom Brady’s wellness advice shifts between obvious and nonsensical. And now you can have all of his tips, such as how much water to drink in order to avoid sunburn, right on your smart phone.

Brady launched the TB12 Method mobile app Tuesday, which appears to be an extension of the quarterback’s lifestyle book. It costs $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year. The first week is free.

“The app is a resource to help users build positive daily habits that lead to greater health, well-being, and vitality in their lives and which serves as a complement and deeper dive into the concepts introduced in Tom Brady’s #1 New York Times best-seller, ‘The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance,’” the press release says, per Deadspin. “These core TB12 Method principles and cutting-edge concepts incorporate athletic preparation, hydration, nutrition, and rest and cognitive fitness.”

If the app is anything like Brady’s book, there will probably be lots of TB12 product placement. More than 100 pages of “The TB12 Method” are dedicated to hawking Brady’s lifestyle products, from clothing to resistance bands.

While TB12 products historically sell quickly –– the “TB12 Method” was on the New York Times’ best-seller list in September –– the timing of the app’s release isn’t great. Brady is coming off his worst game in years and has also missed practices over the last three weeks with an achilles injury.

He needs to keep playing at an elite level in order for the TB12 brand to maintain its muster.
