The best thing about this? It has apparently inadvertently stirred the republican base. Polling shows that republicans that were lackadaisical about the midterms are now taking it seriously. Some seats that looked safe for the Dems are no longer as safe and it's going to make it harder to retake the seats they need. The Democrats just can't stop from shooting themselves in the feet.
